Because there is more friction being made so the data will spike and when the friction calms down it will level out Hope This Helped

12. A cross-country race car driver sets out on a 1.00 hour, 100.0 km race. At the halfway marker
Akimi4 [234]

Answer:

A.) Time = 0.625 hrs = 37.5 minutes

B.) Speed required = 133.33km/hr

Explanation:

Given the following :

Total race distance = 100km

Total time required = 1 hour = 60 minutes

Average speed after traveling 50km = 80km/hr

80km/hr : This means it will take one hour to cover a distance of 80km

Therefore, time taken to cove first 50km at that average speed equals :

1 hour = 80 km

t hours = 50km

80t = 50

t = 50/80

t = 5/8 hours

t = 0.625hours

t = 0.625 * 60 = 37.5minutes

B)

Average speed required to complete the race in 1 hour = 100km/hr

Time used to complete first 50km = 0.625 hour

Time remaining: (1 - 0.625) hour = 0.375

Speed required = Distance left / time left

Speed required = 50 / 0.375

Speed required = 133.33km/hr

A 45.0 g hard-boiled egg moves on the end of a spring with force constant 25.0 N/m. Its initial displacement 0.500 m. A damping
leva [86]

Answer:

0.02896 kg/s

Explanation:

A_1 = Initial displacement = 0.5 m

A21 = Final displacement = 0.1 m

t = Time taken = 0.5 s

m = Mass of object = 45 g

Displacement is given by

x=Ae^{-\dfrac{b}{2m}t}cos(\omega t+\phi)

At maximum displacement

cos(\omega t+\phi)=1

\\\Rightarrow A_2=A_1e^{-\dfrac{b}{2m}t}\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{A_1}{A_2}=e^{\dfrac{b}{2m}t}\\\Rightarrow ln\dfrac{A_1}{A_2}=\dfrac{b}{2m}t\\\Rightarrow b=\dfrac{2m}{t}\times ln\dfrac{A_1}{A_2}\\\Rightarrow b=\dfrac{2\times 0.045}{5}\times ln\dfrac{0.5}{0.1}\\\Rightarrow b=0.02896\ kg/s

The magnitude of the damping coefficient is 0.02896 kg/s

a ladybug crawls vertically on a leaf. its motion is shown on the following graph of vertical position y vs time t what is the a
Sladkaya [172]

Explanation:

The attached figure shows the position-time graph of a ladybug. We need to find the average speed of the ladybug between t = 4 s to t = 7 s.

We know that, the slope of a position-time graph gives velocity of an object. It can be given by :

v=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{t_2-t_1}

In this case, the position of a ladybug at t = 4 s and at t = 7 s is the same i.e. 2 m.

It means its velocity is equal to at this time or we can say that ladybug is at rest.
