Answer:

A. It would block DNA replication

Explanation:

The first step in DNA replication is the break of the DNA double helix. The break allows the DNA polymerase to bind to the single DNA strand  and perform the synthesis of the complementary strand. Errors may occur in the process of DNA replication that affect the organism.

B) it IS NOT true because the formation of the spindle is a different independent process, and occurs in the presence of chromosomes with crosslinked strands.

C) it IS NOT true because condensation of the chromosomes occurs when teir DNA strands are crosslinked.

Name two types of evidence used to support the theory of evolution. explain how scientist use each type of evidence to provide s
joja [24]

Answer:

There are many types of evidence which support the theory of evolution such as comparative anatomy, fossil records, phylogenetic relationship, embryology et cetera

Comparative anatomy includes homologous organs and analogous organs. They support divergent and convergent evolution respectively.

For example, the homologous structure of limb of humans, birds, bat, horse, whale et cetera show that they are made up of the same set of bones which are humerus, radius, ulna, carpals, metacarpals, and phalanges.

It shows divergent evolution and supports that these organisms have evolved from a common ancestor.

Embryological evidence: When early stages of embryological development of different organisms are compared, it is found that these stages are similar at different levels of development.

For example:

  • The appearance of pharyngeal-arch (gill-like structures) in vertebrates during embryo development.
  • Salamanders and terrestrial frogs pass through larval stages within an egg. They possess the features similar to aquatic larvae, however, when they hatched out the eggs being ready for life on land.

Answer:

The study of fish is called Ichthyology.

Explanation:

Fish specimens are identified in the field by ichthyologists. Ichthyology is the field of study that deals with fishes. Taxonomy (classification and the description of new species) and biogeography are the two main areas of focus for museum ichthyologists (patterns of distribution).

Ichthyology is the field of study that deals with fishes. Taxonomy (classification and the description of new species) and biogeography are the two main areas of focus for museum ichthyologists (patterns of distribution). Large reference collections of preserved specimens are kept in museums as a permanent resource for present-day researchers as well as for future ones.

Montano1993 [528]
Specialized structures for reproduction: One example is a fruiting body. Just like a fruit is involved in the reproduction of a fruiting plant, a fruiting body is involved in the reproduction of a fungus. A mushroom is a fruiting body, which is the part of the fungus that produces spores (Figure below
