Length = l = 3x
Width = w = 2x
P = 2l + 2w
P = 2(3x) + 2(2x)
530 = 6x + 4x
530 = 10x
53 = x
Length = 3x = 3(53) = 318 / 2 sides = 159
Width = 2x = 2(53) = 212/ 2 sides = 106

the length of the lot is 159 yards
the width of the lot is 106 yards

4 1/12 + 1 3/4 = ?
Fractions please help I'm tired.
AfilCa [17]

Lets just convert them into improper fractions.

1) 4 and 1/12 = 49/12.

1 and 3/4 = 7/4.

2) 7/4 = 21/12

3) 21/12 + 49/12 = 70/12

Back to mixed fractions!

70/12 = 5 and 10/12 = 5 and 5/6

=5 5/6

There is another method if you want to know. You can simply just do 4 + 1 = 5. Then do 1/12 + 3/4 = 10/12 = 5/6. So it goes to 5 5/6. Your choice which ever you find more eas.

If 40 chairs are bought for Rs
Luda [366]

Answer:

25 chairs

Step-by-step explanation:

If 40 chairs are bought for Rs 10000 then how many chairs must be sold for Rs 10000 so as to gain 60%?

The percent gain = 60%

Number of chairs to be sold = x

Hence:

40 chairs = 10,000

60/100= 40 - x/x × 100

0.6= 40 - x/x

Cross Multiply

0.6x = 40 - x

0.6x + x = 40

1.6x = 40

x = 40/1.6

x = 25 chairs
