Expected number of death in the above group from 24 to 64 age is 2800

we know that standard mortality ratio is given as

SMR = \frac{observed\ death\ in\ study}{expected\ death}

putting all value to get SMR value

SMR = \frac{3000}{2800}

SMR = 1.07
