Answer:

By adding 2.88 milliliter of water to the 0.12 milliliter of 0.25 M solution of sodium citrate will give 25-fold diluted solution.

Explanation:

25 fold dilution means that the concentration of solution is reduced by one by twenty fifth times of the original solution.

Fold - dilution = \frac{V}{V'}

V =Volume of original solution before dilution

V' = Total Volume of solution after dilution

V = x

V'= 3

\frac{1}{25}=\frac{x}{3}

x = \frac{3}{25}mL

Total Volume of solution after dilution = V + y

y = Amount of solvent added ( here is water)

V + 3 = 3 mL

\frac{3}{25}mL+y=3mL

y=3 mL-\frac{3}{25}mL=2.88 ml

Volume of water added = 2.88 mL

Volume of original solution  = 3 ml - 2.88 ml = 0.12 mL

By adding 2.88 milliliter of water to the 0.12 milliliter of 0.25 M solution of sodium citrate will give 25-fold diluted solution.

Hoochie [10]

Answer:

D. The data supported the hypothesis

Explanation:

The data shows that rats fed a normal diet with the addition of vitamins gained a higher average weight gain in the period of 3 months, compared to rats fed a normal diet. This supports the scientists' hypothesis of "Young rats that had vitamins added to their food would gain weight faster than young rats fed a normal diet."

Magnesium nitrate contains chemical bonds that are
SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer:

Magnesium Nitrate is an ionic compound formed by:

Magnesium;Mg+2 (<em>the cation)</em> and Nitrate NO−3 (<em>the poly-atomic anion)</em>.

In order for these two ions to bond, the charges must be equal and opposite. Therefore, it will take:

     <u>two -1 nitrate ions</u> <u>to balance the</u> <u>one +2 magnesium ion</u>.
