Answer: 1/2

To do this problem, you'll have to subtract fractions. To subtract fractions, find a common denominator on both fractions (if needed, which you don't need to do for this problem!), subtract the numerators, and put the difference over the common denominator. Simplify if needed.

Ella started out with 7/10 a bucket of water and then lost 2/10 by pouring it out. That means you're finding the difference of 7/10 - 2/10!

1) Find a common denominator
This is already done because both fractions have "10" in the denominator.

2) Subtract the numerators
7 and 2 are the numerators and you're subtracting 2 from 7:
7 - 2 = 5

3) Put the difference of the numerators over the common denominator
\frac{difference}{common \:demoninator}  =  \frac{5}{10}

4) Simplify if needed
\frac{5}{10} =  \frac{1}{2}
This is because you can divide both the numerator and denominator by 5/5 (and remember 5/5 is the same as 1, and dividing any number by 1 equals itself!)

Answer:  The water that remains in the bucket is 0.56\times x

Explanation:

Let the total quantity of water that can be filled in the bucket be x litres

then, volume of water when ella filled it up = \frac{7}{10}\times x

amount of water taken out post that =\frac{2}{10}\times \frac{7}{10}x=\frac{14}{100x}

amount of water left in the bucket = amount of water when ella filled it up  - amount of water taken out post that = \frac{7}{10}x-\frac{14}{100}x=\frac{56}{100}x

Thus water remains in the bucket is 0.56\times x

2. How is primary succession different from secondary
sergejj [24]

Answer:

Primary succession is basically the start of a brand new ecosystem. This is when pioneer species form and grow like lichens and some grasses. Secondary succession is when the ecosystem is already started and it's continuing to grow. During this time populations of other species begin to inhabit the ecosystem like shrubs and trees and some animals. Both of these processes take years to complete. An example of an event would be a volcanic eruption, and a wild fire.

Answer:

A) radio waves

Explanation:

A police officer using radar for speed control is using radio waves.

Radio waves is one of the forms of electromagnetic radiations that are known.

  • Radar is a detection system for spotting objects within its coverage.
  • It is a non-ionizing radiation and safe radiation source.
  • Radar generally belongs to the low energy part of the electromagnetic spectrum.
  • They have large wavelength with very low frequency.

Process by which earths life form change over time
Rus_ich [418]

Answer:

Adaptations develop from variations within a population and help organisms to survive in their given environment. Changes in populations accumulate over time; this is called evolution. The fossil record shows us that present-day life forms evolved from earlier different life forms.
