The answer is 8_1/5 add the whole numbers 2+5 now add the fractions 3/5+3/5=6/5 and 6/5= 1_1/5 now add the whole to the 7+1=8 and now simply put the fraction in there and get 8_1/5.

Answer:

D.

Step-by-step explanation:

The problem is asking to multiply x-5 by x^2, so we can set it up to distribute the x^2 to both values. The final answer would therefore be x^2(x-5), which is D.

Eliminate the x and y
sp2606 [1]

Step-by-step explanation:

Eliminate the x:

\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}x-2y=6\\3x+y=4\end{array}\right\\\\\text{Multiply by (-3)}\\\\\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}-3(x-2y)=(-3)(6)\\3x+y=4\end{array}\right\\\\\underline{+\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}-3x+6y=-18\\3x+y=4\end{array}\right}\\.\qquad\qquad7y=-14\\.\qquad\qquad y=-2

Eliminate the y:

\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}x-2y=6\\3x+y=4\end{array}\right\\\\\text{Multiply by 2}\\\\\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}x-2y=6\\2(3x+y)=(2)(4)\end{array}\right\\\\\underline{+\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}x-2y=6\\6x+2y=8\end{array}\right}\\\\.\qquad7x=14\\.\qquad x=2

Your answer to the first one is incorrect.

We can cut the plan into two figures, a rectangle with side lengths of 4 cm and 5 cm and a rectangle with side lengths of 1 and 2 cm.

Perimeter of a Rectangle:

P = 2(l + w)

P = 2(4 + 5)

P = 2(9)

P = 18

Perimeter of a Rectangle:

P = 2(l + w)

P = 2(2 + 1)

P = 2(3)

P = 6

Add up the perimeters:

18 + 6 = 24

So the total perimeter is 24.

For the 2nd one, your answer is also incorrect.

We multiply 5 to the perimeter of the plans:

5 * 24 = 120

Not sure what the third one is asking.

For the fourth one we just multiply 'k' to the perimeter:

24 * k = 24k

Jonah is going to the store to buy candles. Small candles cost $2.50 and large candles cost $7.00. He needs to buy at least 20 c
artcher [175]

<em><u>The system of linear inequalities are:</u></em>

a + b \geq 20\\\\2.50a + 7b\leq 80

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Let "a" be the number of small candles bought

Let "b" be the number of large candles bought

<em><u>He needs to buy at least 20 candles</u></em>

Therefore, number of small candles and number of large candles bought must be at least 20

Thus, we frame a inequality as:

a + b \geq 20

"at least" means greater than or equal to

Here, we used "greater or equal to" symbol because, he can buy 20 candles or more than 20 candles also

From given,

Cost of 1 small candle = $ 2.50

Cost of 1 large candle = $ 7

<em><u>He can spend no more than 80 dollars</u></em>

Which means, he spend maximum 80 dollars or less than 80 dollars also

So we have to use "less than or equal to" symbol

<em><u>Thus, we frame a inequality as:</u></em>

Number of small candles bought x Cost of 1 small candle + number of large candles bought x Cost of 1 large candle \leq 80

a \times 2.50 + b \times 7 \leq 80\\\\2.50a + 7b\leq 80

<em><u>Thus the system of linear inequalities are:</u></em>

a + b \geq 20\\\\2.50a + 7b\leq 80
