Answer:

The magnitude of the magnetic force of the electron is 2.77 x 10⁻¹² N

Explanation:

Given;

speed of the electron, v =  8.0 × 10⁶ m/s

magnetic field strength, B = 2.5 T

angle of inclination of the field, θ = 60°

The magnetic force experienced by the electron in the magnetic field is given as;

F = qvBsinθ

where;

q is charge of electron = 1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹ C

B is strength of magnetic field

v is speed of the electron

Substitute the given values and solve for F

F = (1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹)( 8.0 × 10⁶)(2.5)sin60

F = 2.77 x 10⁻¹² N

Thus, the magnitude of the magnetic force of the electron is 2.77 x 10⁻¹² N

How does the law of conservation of energy apply to machines?
allsm [11]
Energy can be changed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed. ... This principle is referred to as the first law of thermodynamics or the law of energy conservation. The law applies to all systems both large and small, and, again, it states that energy cannot be created or destroyed.

The joule and the kilowatt-hour are both units of energy. 15 kw · h is equivalent to how many joules? answer in units of j.
choli [55]

The solution for the problem is:

1 Watt = 1 Joule per second
1 Watt*second = 1 Joule

a Kilowatt is 1,000 Watts
an hour is 60 seconds times 60 minutes or 3,600 seconds
a Kilowatt * hour is 1,000 Watts in 3,600 seconds

15 W*h = 15,000 Watt*hour = 15,000 Watt * 3,600 seconds = 54,000,000 Watt*second

54,000,000 Watt*second = ? Joules
54,000,000 Joules / second = 54,000,000 Watts

Which statements are true concerning Newton's law of gravitation? The gravitational force is related to the mass of each object.
OLEGan [10]

Answer:

The gravitational force is related to the mass of each object.

The gravitational force is an attractive force.

Explanation:

Gravitational force is a long range force of attraction between any two masses.

Mathematically given as :

F=G.\frac{m_1.m_2}{r^2}

where:

m_1 & m_2 are the masses

r= distance between the center of mass of the two objects.

G= gravitational constant = 6.67\times 10^{-11} m^3.kg^{-1}.s^{-2}

From the above relation of eq. (1) it is clear that,

Gravitational force is inversely proportional to the square of the distance and directly proportional to the masses.

The mass of an object is independent of its size due to the fact that density may vary for different objects.

The force of gravity varies with height as:

\frac{g}{g_x} =(\frac{r_x}{r} )^2

where:

g=9.8\,m.s^{-2}

g_x= gravity at height r_x of the center of mass of the object from the center of mass of the earth.

and we know that force:

F=m\times g

where: m= mass of the object.
