Answer : Option A) carbon

Explanation : In group 4 A carbon has got the highest ionization energy amongst the given choices. As the ionization energies of the elements decreases down the group carbon has got the highest ionization energy in the group being at the top of the group.

The ionization energy (Ei) can be defined as the amount of energy which is required to remove the most loosely bound electron, which is the valence electron, of an isolated gaseous atom to form a cation.

ANs: [A] = [B] = 0.094 M

The following reaction was monitored as a function of time:
AB --> A + B
A plot of 1/[AB] versus time is a straight line with slope, K = 5.5×10^−2 M * s.

Now,

\frac{1}{[AB]} = \frac{1}{[AB_{0} ]} + kT \\ \\ \frac{1}{[AB]} = \frac{1}{0.210} + (5.5* 10^{-2})*70 sec \\ \\ \\ \[AB] = 0.116

Now, Since at 70 s, [AB] = 0.116 M,

then amount of AB lost:
0.210 M - 0.116 M = 0.094 M

Now, according to the stoichiometry of the reaction,
AB : A : B = 1 : 1 : 1,

so both [A] and [B] gained the same number of moles and thus have same concentration, as [AB] lost.

So, [A] = [B] = 0.094 M after 70 s.

The primitive atmosphere of Earth may have favored the abiotic synthesis of organic molecules because it __________.
ASHA 777 [7]

Answer and Explanation:

The primitive atmosphere of Earth may have favored the abiotic synthesis of organic molecules because it **had close to no oxygen, hence, it was powerfully reducing. It had pure energy sources too in form of ultraviolet rays from the sun (it was extremely hot! Too hot for water in liquid form to exist in fact!), outgassing from the numerous volcanoes and lightning**.

Abiotic synthesis means a formation reaction where the reactants are charged to become products, almost all on their own, with no catalyst especially.

So, these factors would have helped the organic molecules to form as most of what is needed to overcome the energy barrier and become products.

A chemical change in which a single compound breaks down into two or more products is which of the following?
Liono4ka [1.6K]

Answer:

a. Decomposition.

Explanation:

A combination reaction is a reaction where two or more elements or compounds combine to form a single compound. Such reactions may be represented by equations of the following form: X + Y ⇒ XY.

 • Decomposition reactions are a type of chemical reaction that involves breaking down a compound into smaller compounds or individual elements.
 • A single-displacement reaction, also known as a single-replacement reaction, is a reaction by which one element replaces other element in a compound.
 • A double displacement reaction, also known as a double replacement reaction or metathesis, is a type of chemical reaction where two compounds react, and the positive ions (action) and the negative ions (anion) of the two reactants switch places, forming two new compounds or products.

Hence, the answer is a decomposition reaction.

Please Help Part B to question A
anyanavicka [17]

Answer:

Over the last century the burning of fossil fuels like coal and oil has increased the concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2). This happens because the coal or oil burning process combines carbon with oxygen in the air to make CO2. as u know decreasing means going down and increasing means going up. the reason why things decrease means something went wrong or something to happen to make it go down we all try to make things increase which means we try to make things go up instead of down. a lot of reasons is y things decrease is bc during the period of time something might go wrong or happen in a bad way that makes a lot of things decrease. for example like temperature when the temperature decreases it means it goes down and it might get cold but if the temperature increases it goes up so it might be ht or warm or maybe even cool. if something ever decreases it means during the period of time something bad happened and made it go down instead of up if something ever goes wrong that means something decreased. sometimes decreasing could be a good thing but most of the time it it bad but there are sometimes when decreasing is good but not all the time.
