HELP ME ASAP. The answer is -10 but explain it how to do it step by step. -6+(-30) divided by 5-(-2)

Mathematics
1 answer:

4 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Following the order of operations we would first divide -30 by 5 which would give us -6

-6 + (-30) ÷ 5 - (-2)

From here we can add -6 + -6 = -12

-6 + (-6) - (-2)

When subtracting a negative number, the two negatives changes it to a positive. (-12) - (-2) = (-12) + 2 which would give us -10

(-12) - (-2) = -10

~Hope this helps!~

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER?????????
givi [52]

There's only information to answer question C.

We can only know that 32 marbles were chosen. (yellow and black)

Why?

To answer the first two questions (a and b), we need to know the total number of marbles, so, we can only answer the last question (c).

We know that 7/10 of the 20 yellow marbles were chosen.

So, calculating we have:

\frac{7}{10}*20=14(yellow)

Also, we know that 18 black marbles were chosen, so, the total of marbles chosen is equal to 32 (yellow marbles and black marbles)

TotalMarbles=14(yellow)+18(black)=32marbles

Have a nice day!

The Table below gives you The population of Texas since 1970. Find the average rate if change from 1970 to 1090
ruslelena [56]

Answer:

Average rate of change = 0.29 million per year

Step-by-step explanation:

Average rate of change in the population from year 1970 to year 1900 is given by the formula,

Average rate of change = \frac{\text{Population in year 1990-Population in year 1970}}{1990-1970}

                                        = \frac{17-11.2}{1990-1970}

                                        = \frac{5.8}{20}

                                        = 0.29 million per year

Therefore, average rate of change in the population from 1970 to 1990 will be 0.29 million per year.

What is -2 and 2 fifths squared?<br><br> Thanks!
Luba_88 [7]

Answer:

\frac{144}{25}

Step-by-step explanation:

We begin with (-2 \frac{2}{5} )^2

First, lets turn this mixed number into an improper fraction/

-2 \frac{2}{5} =-\frac{12}{5}

Now that we have this, we can square it and then simplify it.

(-\frac{12}{5} )^2 =\frac{12^2}{5^2} *(-1)^2=\frac{144}{25} *1=\frac{144}{25}
