Answer:

1.71atm

Explanation:

The following were obtained from the question:

V1 (initial volume) = 6L

P1 (initial pressure) = 1atm

V2 (final volume) = 3.5L

P2 (final pressure) =?

Using the Boyle's law equation:

P1V1 = P2V2, the final pressure can be obtained as follow:

P1V1 = P2V2

1 x 6 = P2 x 3.5

Divide both side by 3.5

P2 = 6/3.5

P2 = 1.71atm

The final i.e the new pressure inside the piston is 1.71atm

BRANLIEST GETS 15 pts!!!!!!!!!--Which of the following properties of atoms decrease as you move down a column on the periodic ta
andre [41]

Ionization energy of atoms decrease as we move down a column on the periodic table.

Answer: Ionization energy

Explanation:

The periodic table consists of elements arranged in rows (periods) and columns (groups). The arrangement of elements in a column are made based on the increasing order of atomic radii from top to bottom of column.

As the atomic radii increase in group from top to bottom, the number of electrons increase along the group lead to shielding effect. Since the count of valence electrons are same for all elements in a group, the effective nuclear charges also same.

But the increase in the atomic number lead to shielding and increase in electrons occupied in farther shells from nucleus. This leads to deduce ionisation energy when move down a group.

- How many electrons does a neutral atom of Magnesium-25, have?
jonny [76]

12 electrons

Explanation:

Atomic designation of magnesium:

                                     ²⁵₁₂Mg

Magnesium is group II element on the periodic table with 12 electrons.

The periodic table provides an arrangement of elements based on their atomic numbers.

The atomic number of Mg is 12...........

The atomic number of an element is the same as the number of protons i.e positively charged particles.

In a neutral atom, the number of protons is equal to the number of electrons in them.
