Answer:

a) 5000 g

b) 5250 g

c) 5150 g

Explanation:

For easier calculations, the formulas will be converted from g/cm³ to kg/m³, and then back when we're done.

Density of pure water is 1 g/cm³

1 g/cm³ = 1 * 0.001/0.000001

1 g/cm³ = 1000 kg/m³, and thus,

Density of pure blood

1.05 g/cm³ = 1050 kg/m³

Density of seawater

1.03 g/cm³ = 1030 kg/m³

Recall that, Density = mass / volume, and as such, mass = density * volume.

Converting our volume from L to m³

1 m³ = 1000 L, and as such

1 L = 0.001 m³

5 L = 0.005 m³

Mass of pure water = 1000 * 0.005

Mass of pure water = 5 kg

Mass of pure blood = 1050 * 0.005

Mass of pure blood = 5.25 kg

Mass of seawater = 1030 * 0.005

Mass of seawater = 5.15 kg

Converting these masses back to g, we have

Mass of pure water = 5 kg * 1000 g

Mass of pure water = 5000 g

Mass of pure blood = 5.25 kg * 1000 g

Mass of pure blood = 5250 g

Mass of seawater = 5.15 kg * 1000 g

Mass of seawater = 5150 g

When a jet lands on an aircraft carrier, a hook on the tail of the plane grabs a wire that quickly brings the plane to a halt be
Veronika [31]
The problem seems to be incomplete because there is no question. However, from the problem description, the logical question is to find he acceleration needed by the jet to land on the airplane carrier. The working equation would be:

2ad = v₂² - v₁²
Since the jet stops, v₂ = 0. Substituting the values:
2(a)(95 m) = 0² - [(240 km/h)(1000 m/1 km)(1h/3600 s)]²
Solving for a,
a = -23.39 m/s² (the negative sign indicates that the jet is decelerating)

The specific heat capacity of sea water is 4100 J/Kg°C and the boiling point of 100.6 °C. (i) Calculate the energy required to r
maw [93]

Answer:

334.314 (kJ)

Explanation:

1) the formula for the required energy is: Q=c*m(Bp-t), where c - 4100 J/kg*C; m - 0.9 kg; Bp - 100.6 C; t - 10 C.

2) according to the formula above:

Q=4100*0.9*(100.6-10)=41*9*906=334314 (J).

A particle on a spring moves in simple harmonic motion along the x axis between turning points at x1 = 95 cm and x2 = 135 cm. (i
uranmaximum [27]

Answer:

(i) x = 115\,cm, (ii) x = 95\,cm, (iii) x = 95\,cm

Explanation:

(i) x_{1} and x_{2} represent the points where particle has a velocity of zero and spring reach maximum deformation, Given the absence of non-conservative force and by the Principle of Energy Conservation, the position where particle is at maximum speed is average of both extreme positions:

x = 115\,cm

(ii) Maximum accelerations is reached at x_{1} and x_{2}.

x = 95\,cm

(iii) Greatest net forces exerted on the particle are reached at x_{1} and x_{2}.

x = 95\,cm

Sometimes, I have to take my cat, Gigi, in the car. She doesn’t like this, and tends to hide under the couch when she knows she
Reika [66]

Answer:

F - fr = ma ,    N - W = 0

Explanation:

In this exercise we are asked to identify the forces that act on the jack, for this we will use Newton's second law

On the x axis

We have two forces: the friction and the force of the girl who pulls the cat

           F - fr = ma

On the y axis

There are two forces: normal and weight

         N - W = 0

A diagram of these forces can be seen in the attachment
