Two identical copper blocks are connected by a weightless, unstretchable cord through a frictionless pulley at the top of a thin

wedge. One edge of the wedge is vertical, and the tip makes an angle of 43⁰. The block that hangs vertically weighs 2 kg, and the block on the incline weighs 2.41 kg.
If the two blocks do not move, what is magnitide of the force of friction on the second second block? FB

Hi, thank you for posting your question here at Brainly.

First, you have to draw the system for better understanding. Pls refer to the attached image.

Since the system is not moving, the summation of forces are zero since they are at equilibrium

Let's base on the 2-kg object first to find the tension (T) of the rope.
Forces in the y-direction = 0 = T - W
                                           0 = T - 2 kg (9.81 m/s2)
                                          T = 19.62 N

Let's base on the 2.41 kg load.
Forces in the y-direction = 0 = Fn - Wy
                                           0 = Fn - (2.41kg)(9.81m/s^2)(cos47)
                                          Fn = 16.12 N

Forces in the x-direction = 0 = Ff + T - Wx
                                           0 = Ff + 19.62 - (2.41kg)(9.81m/s^2)(sin47)
                                          Ff = -2.33 N

The magnitude of the frictional force is 2.33 N.

What is the momentum of a 950 kg car moving at 10.0 m/s?
pentagon [3]

Answer:

The answer is 9500 kgm/s

Explanation:

The momentum of an object can be found by using the formula

momentum = mass × velocity

From the question

mass = 950 kg

velocity = 10.0 m/s

We have

momentum = 950 × 10

We have the final answer as

9500 kgm/s

Hope this helps you

A pulled tablecloth exerts a frictional force of 0.6 n on a plate with a mass of 0.4 kg. what is the acceleration of the plate?
Ludmilka [50]
The formula for acceleration is a = F/m; Where: F = force; m = mass
Given: F = .6n; m = .4kg; a = ?
a = F/m
  = .6/.4
  = 1.5

Therefore, the acceleration of the plate is 1.5 m/s^2

An inflated rubber balloon is rubbed with a wool cloth until an excess of 1.00 × 107 electrons is on the balloon. What is the ma
REY [17]

The magnitude of the charge on the balloon is 1.6 x 10⁻¹² C.

What is the magnitude of the charge on the ball?

The magnitude of the charge on the ball is calculated by determining the total charge equivalent to the given number of electrons.

The charge of one electron = 1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹ Coulombs

Now, we are going to estimated the total charge of 1 x 10⁷ electrons.

1 electron =  1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹ C

1 x 10⁷ electrons = ?

= (1 x 10⁷ electrons x 1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹ C) / (1 electron)

= 1.6 x 10⁻¹² C

Thus, the total charge of 1 x 10⁷ electrons is obtained by multiplying the magnitude of charge of one electron to the entire given electrons.
