I gave you the answer to number 11 on your other post, and for 12, this is how you do it...
10 ft 6 in is 10.5 ft first off.
Set up for cross multiplication... use 7^2 and 10.5^2 because it's area.
3/7^2 x y/10.5^2... 49y=330.75... y=6.75
So, 6.75 pints of stain are required to paint a deck 10 ft 6 in x 10 ft 6 in, if 3 pints is required for 7 ft x 7ft, and the amount of stain proportional to the area of the deck

Find a solution to the linear equation −2x−2y=8 by filling in the boxes with a valid value of x and y.Provide your answer below:
inna [77]

Given

-2x-2y=8

To find a solution for the linear equation, the first step is to write the equation in slope-intercept form:

-Pass the x-term to the right side of the equation by applying the opposite operation to both sides of the equal sign:

\begin{gathered} -2x+2x-2y=8+2x \\ -2y=2x+8 \end{gathered}

-Divide both sides by -2:

\begin{gathered} \frac{-2y}{-2}=\frac{2x}{-2}+\frac{8}{-2} \\ y=-x-4 \end{gathered}

Once you have expressed the equation of the line in slope-intercept form, replace it with any value for x and calculate the corresponding value of y, for example, x=2

\begin{gathered} y=-(2)-4 \\ y=-2-4 \\ y=-6 \end{gathered}

One solution for the linear equation is x=2 and y=-6, you can check the solution by replacing the values on the original equation, with both values the result should be 8:

\begin{gathered} -2x-2y \\ -2\cdot2-2\cdot(-6) \\ -4+12=8 \end{gathered}

As you can see the values are a valid solution for the linear equation.

So the solution is:

-2(2)-2(-6)=8

How do I rotate a figure 90 degrees clockwise
cricket20 [7]

Step-by-step explanation:

You have to have tracing paper or patty paper (cause that's what my teacher uses). Next you draw the figure along with the x and y-axis on it as well. Then you mark the x and y-axis and rotate the paper 90 degrees clockwise. Lastly if the x-axis is on the y-axis, mark it as the y-axis and if the y-axis is on the x-axis, also mark it as the x-axis.

I hope this helped :)
