A sphere of radius 3.09 cm and a spherical shell of radius 7.97 cm are rolling without slipping along the same floor. The two ob

Answer:

2.4

Explanation:

We are given that

r_1=3.09 cm

r_2=7.97 cm

Let mass of each object =m

K.E of each object=E

We have to find the ration of sphere's angular speed to the spherical shell's angular speed.

Moment of inertia of sphere,I_1=\frac{2}{5}Mr^2_1

Moment of inertia of spherical shell,I_2=\frac{2}{3}Mr^2_2

Linear speed,v=\omega r

K.E of sphere ,E_1=\frac{1}{2}mr^2_1\omega^2_1+\frac{1}{2}I_1\omega^2_1

K.E of spherical shell,E_2=\frac{1}{2}mr^2_2\omega^2_2+\frac{1}{2}I_2\omega^2_2

E_1=E_2=E

\frac{1}{2}mr^2_1\omega^2_1+\frac{1}{2}I_1\omega^2_1=\frac{1}{2}mr^2_2\omega^2_2+\frac{1}{2}I_2\omega^2_2

\omega^2_1(mr^2_1+I_1)=\omega^2_2(mr^2_2+I_2)

\frac{\omega^2_1}{\omega^2_2}=\frac{mr^2_2+\frac{2}{5}mr^2_2}{mr^2_1+\frac{2}{3}mr^2_1}

\frac{\omega_1}{\omega_2}=\sqrt{\frac{r^2_2\frac{7}{5}}{r^2_1\frac{5}{3}}}

\frac{\omega_1}{\omega_2}=\frac{r_2}{r_1}\sqrt{\frac{21}{25}}=\frac{7.97}{3.09}\times \sqrt{\frac{21}{25}}=2.4

Scientific work is currently underway to determine whether weak oscillating magnetic fields can affect human health. For example
iragen [17]

Given Information:

Magnetic field = B = 1×10⁻³ T

Frequency = f = 72.5 Hz

Diameter of cell = d = 7.60 µm = 7.60×10⁻⁶ m

Required Information:

Maximum Emf = ?

Answer:

Maximum Emf = 20.66×10⁻¹² volts

Explanation:

The maximum emf generated around the perimeter of a cell in a field is given by

Emf = BAωcos(ωt)

Where A is the area, B is the magnetic field and ω is frequency in rad/sec

For maximum emf cos(ωt) = 1

Emf = BAω

Area is given by

A = πr²

A = π(d/2)²

A = π(7.60×10⁻⁶/2)²

A = 45.36×10⁻¹² m²

We know that,

ω = 2πf

ω = 2π(72.5)

ω = 455.53 rad/sec

Finally, the emf is,

Emf = BAω

Emf = 1×10⁻³*45.36×10⁻¹²*455.53

Emf = 20.66×10⁻¹² volts

Therefore, the maximum emf generated around the perimeter of the cell is 20.66×10⁻¹² volts

thus speed ,= distance/time
speed = 5/0.77
= 6.45 m/s

An object is thrown directly downward from the top of a very tall building. The speed of the object just as it is released is 17
Softa [21]

Answer:

distance cover is  = 102.53 m

Explanation:

Given data:

speed of object is 17.1 m/s

t_1 = 3.32 sec

t_2 = 5.08 sec

from equation of motion we know that

d_1 = vt_1 + \frac{1}{2} gt_1^2

where d_1 is distance covered in time t1

sod_1 = 17.1 \times 3.32 + \frac{1}{2} 9.8 \times 3.32^2=

d_1 = 110.78 m

d_2 = vt_2 + \frac{1}{2} gt_2^2

where d_2 is distance covered in time t2

d_2 = 17.1 \times 5.08 + \frac{1}{2}\times9.8 \times 5.08^2

d_2 = 213.31 m

distance cover is  = 213.31 - 110.78 = 102.53 m
