So what you are doing here is multipucation.
You need to multiply 24x4.
Here's an easy way of doing it.
20x4= 80
4x4= 16
80+16=96
So that means 24x4=96

He would have bought 96 stickers 24x4 = 96

The sales tax on a $350 computer is $ 22.75. find the sales tax rate.
likoan [24]

Set up an equation to solve for the tax rate, x:

350(x) = 22.75\\x = \frac{22.75}{350}\\x = 0.065\\x = 6.5%

We can conclude that the tax rate on the computer was 6.5 percent.

Pie

Answer: <em>the length of each edge is 0.5 ft.</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

V=S^{3}\\\\S=\sqrt[3]{V}=\sqrt[3]{\dfrac{1}{8}}  = \sqrt[3]{\bigg ( \dfrac{1}{2} \bigg)^{3} }  = \dfrac{1}{2}=0.5 \: \: \: (ft)

can someone help me, Just the answer don’t worry about explaining everything, Im really bad on Math :(
Strike441 [17]

Answer:

a. -2 b. -2 c. -1 d. 4 e. -3 f. 0

Step-by-step explanation:

The average rate of change formula is:

\frac{y_{2}- y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}

a.

We need to find the rate of change for x = -3 to x = -2 so we look on the graph to find y.

At x = -3 it look like y = 0  so

x_{1} = -3

y_{1} = 0

At x = -2 it looks like y = 2

x_{2} = -2

y_{2} = 2

Now we can just plug everything in to the rate of change formula.

\frac{y_{2}- y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}  = \frac{2- 0}{-3-(-2)} = \frac{2- 0}{-3+2} = \frac{2}{-1} = -2

So for a. our rate of chage for the given interval is -2

b.

Now that you have the formula we don't need to explain each time.

x_{1} = -2

y_{1} = 2

x_{2} = 1

y_{2} = - 4

\frac{y_{2}- y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}  = \frac{-4- 2}{1-(-2)} = \frac{-4-2}{1+2} = \frac{-6}{3} = -2

c.

x_{1} = 0

y_{1} = -3

x_{2} = 1

y_{2} = - 4

\frac{y_{2}- y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}  = \frac{-4-(-3)}{1-0} = \frac{-4 + 3}{1-0} = \frac{-1}{1} = -1

d.

x_{1} = 1

y_{1} = -4

x_{2} = 2

y_{2} = 0

\frac{y_{2}- y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}  = \frac{0 - (-4)}{2-1} = \frac{0 + 4}{2-1} = \frac{4}{1} = 4

e.

x_{1} = -1

y_{1} = 0

x_{2} = 0

y_{2} = -3

\frac{y_{2}- y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}  = \frac{-3- 0}{0-(-1)} = \frac{-3- 0}{0+1} = \frac{-3}{1} = -3

f.

x_{1} = -1

y_{1} = 0

x_{2} = 2

y_{2} = 0

\frac{y_{2}- y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}  = \frac{0- 0}{2-(-1)} = \frac{0- 0}{2+1} = \frac{0}{3} = 0

There are 16 ounces in one pound. If 3.4 pounds of beef cost $4.95, what is the cost per ounce, to the nearest cent?
Alina [70]
$0.09 per ounce Because there are 16 ounces in a pound, 3.4 pounds is 3.4(16) = 54.4 ounces. To find cost per ounce, divide the cost in dollars by the number of ounces
