1.what causes a fire tornado to form ?

Chemistry

I am inclined to think that it is caused by flammable gases being released into the tornado and then being lit, but it would soon burn out, so I’m guessing that it must have a constant fluctuation of gases going into the tornado... therefore keeping the flame alive

Hope this helps you

Which of the following aqueous solutions should demonstrate the most non-ideal behavior? A. 0.1 M NaI B. 0.2 M CuSO4 C. 0.5 M KB
Maslowich

Answer:

D. 2.0 M CuCl2

Explanation:

The ionic strength of a solution shows the concentration of its ions in that given solution of the compound. Dissolved ionic compounds always dissociate into ions. The total amount of ions in solution will definitely affect the properties of the solution. The concept of ionic strength was first introduced by Lewis and Randall in 1921 while describing the activity coefficients of strong electrolytes.

The ionic strength of CuCl2 is 6M as shown:

ionic strength = 0.5*[(+2)^2*2M + (1-)^2*4M] = 6 M

The higher the ionic strength of a solution, the greater its non ideal behavior.

CuCl2 shows the greatest ionic strength hence the greatest non ideal behavior.

In ____________, electrons are gained by atoms and lost by others.
viktelen [127]

Answer: The correct answer is Option A.

Explanation:

From the given options:

A. Ionic bonds: These bonds are formed when there is complete transfer of electrons from one atom to another atom. An atom which looses electrons is known as electropositive atom and the atoms which gains electrons is known as electronegative atom.

B. Covalent Bonds: These bonds are formed when there is sharing of electrons between the two atoms.

C. Metallic bonds: These bonds are formed from the attraction between the free electrons and fixed positively charged of two metallic atoms.

D. Polyatomic Bonds: These bonds are formed between the species forming a polyatomic ion.

From the given information, the correct answer to this question is Option A.

Which of the compounds listed below would you expect to have the highest boiling point? (They all have approximately the same mo
NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer:

HOCH₂CH₂CH₂OH Propane-1,3-diol

Explanation:

The boiling point of compound depends up on Hydrogen bonding and vander wall forces. The C option that is alcohol will have higest boiling point assuming that the mass is approximately same (between 60-80) and the boiling point is hight because this is due to extensive intra molecular hydrogen bonding in alcohol .Hence due to hydrogen bonding the molecules are packed close and that increases the boiling point of the molecule. The Answer is option C.

HOCH₂CH₂CH₂OH > CH₃CH₂CH₂CH₂OH > CH₃CH₂CH₂CH₂CH₃ > CH₃CH₂CH₂CH₂CH₃ > CH₃CH₂CH₂OCH₃
