p(x) = 1/2 x - 3

1) Type of function: linear function

2) Doman: all real number

3) Range: all real number

4) x-intercept:

1/2 x - 3 = 0

1/2 x = 3

     x = 3 * 2

     x = 6

x-intercept:  (6 , 0)

5) y-intercept: x = 0; y = -3

So y-intercept: (0, -3)

6) p(x) = 1/2 x - 3

x = 0; y = -3

x = 1, y = - 5/2

x = 2 , y =  - 2

x = 4, y = -1

x = 6, y = 0

x = 8,  y = 1 and so on....

The output values increase as the input values increase. so it's increasing.

Rationalize the denominator and simplify. I will give brainliest<br> (\sqrt(a+1)-2)/(\sqrt(a+1)+2)
Jet001 [13]

Answer:

(\sqrt(a+1)-2)^2/a+1-4=[a+5-4(\sqrt(a+1)]/(a-3)

Step-by-step explanation:

To rationalize the denominator, you have to multiply the denominator and the numerator by (\sqrt(a+1)-2) (which doesn't change the value of the fraction)

You get: (\sqrt(a+1)-2)^2/a+1-4=[a+5-4(\sqrt(a+1)]/(a-3)

Factor completely: x^3 -16x<br><br>I'll appreciate the Help!!!
Nesterboy [21]

First, we can factor an x out of this.

We're left with x(x^2 - 16)

We can use the difference of squares theorem here to factor this further.

a^2 - b^2 = (a - b)(a + b)
