Answer:

The new volume is  11.6L

Explanation:

<h3>       This problem is on the application of Boyle's law which states that" the volume of a given mass of gas at constant temperature is inversely  proportional to the pressure"</h3>

pressure \alpha \frac{1}{volume}

Given data

initial pressure p1= 100atm

initial volume v1= 3.7L

final pressure p2= 32 atm

final volume v2= ?

Apply Boyle's law we have

p1v1= p2v2\\

v2= \frac{p1v1}{p2}

Substituting our data we have

v2= \frac{100*3.7}{32} \\v2=\frac{370}{32} \\v2= 11.6 L

The new volume is 11.6L

<h3><u>Answer</u>;</h3>

= F0 L ( 1 - 1/e )

<h3><u>Explanation;</u></h3>

Work done is given as the product of force and distance.

In this case;

Work done  = ∫︎ F(x) dx

                    = F0 ∫︎ e^(-x/L) dx

                    = F0 [ -L e^(-x/L) ] between 0 and L

                    = F0 L ( 1 - 1/e )

A volumen constante un gas ejerce una presión de 880 mmHg a 20o Celsius dentro de una olla a presión ¿Qué temperatura habrá si e
jasenka [17]

Answer: Hence, the final temperature is 350 K

Explanation :

To calculate the final temperature of the system, we use the equation given by Gay-Lussac Law. This law states that pressure of the gas is directly proportional to the temperature of the gas at constant pressure.

Mathematically,

\frac{P_1}{T_1}=\frac{P_2}{T_2}

where,

P_1\text{ and }T_1 are the initial pressure and temperature of the gas.

P_2\text{ and }T_2 are the final pressure and temperature of the gas.

We are given:

P_1=880mmHg\\T_1=20^0C=(20+273)K=293K\\P_2=1050mmHg\\T_2=?

Putting values in above equation, we get:

\frac{880mmHg}{293K}=\frac{1050mmHg}{T_2}\\\\T_2=350K

Hence, the final temperature is 350 K

A 2.30-kg cylindrical rod of length 2.00 m is suspended from a horizontal bar so it is free to swing about that end. a solid sph
Marina86 [1]

Solution:

initial sphere mvr = final sphere mvr + Iω
where I = mL²/3 = 2.3g * (2m)² / 3 = 3.07 kg·m²
0.25kg * (12.5 + 9.5)m/s * (4/5)2m = 3.07 kg·m² * ω
where: ω = 2.87 rad/s

So for the rod, initial E = KE = ½Iω² = ½ * 3.07kg·m² * (2.87rad/s)²
E = 12.64 J becomes PE = mgh, so
12.64 J = 2.3 kg * 9.8m/s² * h
h = 0.29 m

h = L(1 - cosΘ) → where here L is the distance to the CM
0.03m = 1m(1 - cosΘ) = 1m - 1m*cosΘ
Θ = arccos((1-0.29)/1) = 44.77 º

Picking up sound waves is the stage of listening that most people refer to as what?
kirill [66]

A. Picking up sound waves is the stage of listening that most people refer to as hearing.

<h3>What is hearing?</h3>

Hearing, or auditory perception, is the ability to perceive sounds through an organ, such as an ear, by detecting vibrations as periodic changes in the pressure of a surrounding medium.

During learning process, when someone picks up the sound waves directed to him/her, it is known as the act of hearing,

Thus, picking up sound waves is the stage of listening that most people refer to as hearing.
