Answer: The receptor site is the location that a drug binds to, altering the function of a biomolecule.

Explanation:

The drug receptors site, are the sites where the sites where the drug molecules bind.  Basically, a low number of receptors exists and the extent to which the molecules occupy their sites differ with the concentration of drug.  The receptor site changes the conformation and function of the binding molecule of the drug.

ValentinkaMS [17]

Answer:

All the offsprings will be black-furred (Bb)

Explanation:

This question involves a single gene coding for fur length in rabbits. The allele for black fur (B) is dominant to the allele for white fur (b). This means that a rabbit heterozygous for this gene (Bb) will have a black fur.

According to this question, a purebred black furred male (BB) is bred with a female that had the recessive white fur (bb). The parents will produce gametes as follows:

BB - B only

bb - b only

Using these gametes in a punnet square (see attached image), the genotypic proportion of the produced offsprings is as follows:

Bb, Bb, Bb, Bb

All Bb (heterozygous) means that all of the offsprings will be black-furred.

1.What is one cost and benefits of double window glazing?
Gnom [1K]

Explanation:

1.Warmer in the winter – Double glazing is great for insulation, it can also help capture natural heat and store it in the winter. This is a great way of keeping your home insulated in the winter months.

Energy cost savings – Less energy is used up to heat or cool a room when double glazed windows are installed, this results in lower energy bills and money being saved. Adding more layers of glazing will increase the insulation levels and save more money.

Cooler in the summer – Double glazed windows can trap some of the rays coming through the windows on a hot summer’s’ day causing your room to be cooler. This means less air-conditioning is required.

Safety – With more units being on double glazed windows, the safety of your home increases. They are harder to break and are sealed tighter than other windows.

Less condensation – Double glazed windows reduce the amount of moisture on your window panes, as the airtight seal prevents the condensation from building up. Other windows often allow condensation to build up which causes window panes to have mould in.

Less noise – With more units comes less noise and a quieter home. If you live by busy roads or in a generally noisy area then double glazed windows are crucial to you

Link the digestive and the breathing system to respiration and how the products of aerobic respiration and anaerobic respiration
UNO [17]
When food is digested, the food is broken down into Glucose, which can get into the bloodstream through the small intestines. It travels around the body in the bloods plasma and is then diffused into the body's cells through the capillaries. Once the Glucose is in the body cells, it can be used for respiration.
The breathing system is used in respiration because we need it to respire aerobically, so that our body gets all the vital oxygen it needs. When we breathe, oxygen is stored in the alveoli in the lungs. From there, it can be diffused into the bloodstream, to be used for respiration.

The products of aerobic respiration is Carbon Dioxide and Water. The Water leaves the body as sweat or waste such as urine. The Carbon Dioxide is carried through the blood to our lungs where we can breathe it out. Where as in anaerobic respiration, the product is Lactic Acid. This ends up being broken by oxygen after exercise (oxygen debt) and is also turned into Carbon Dioxide and Water.
