Sphenoid bone is are bone that  can be found  at the central  of the human skull and they are made up of  cranial bones  which are bones that help to protect the human brain from injury.

Olfactory foramina is not part of sphenoid bone because  they are hollow space that is found in the cribriform plate.

This hollow space made it possible for the sensory nerves to pass through the  human nasal cavity which in turn help to transport information from the olfactory receptors to the brain.

<u>Translation:</u> process of protein formation is called translation .

In the process of translation, a cell reads information from a molecule called a messenger RNA  and uses this information to build a protein.  Translation involves “decoding” a messenger RNA  and using its information to build a polypeptide, or chain of amino acids .

Translation involve three major steps

• Initiation ("beginning"): in this stage, the ribosome gets together with the mRNA and the first tRNA so translation can begin.

• Elongation ("middle"): in this stage, amino acids are brought to the ribosome by tRNAs and linked together to form a poly peptide chain.

•Termination ("end"): in the last stage of translation, the finished polypeptide is released to go and do its job in the cell.

<u>Organelles involve in translation:</u>

Ribosomes: main process of translation occour at ribosomes.

Rough endoplasmic reticulum: ribosomes are located on rough endoplasmicreticulum .it bound proteins in the vesicles.Vesicles containing proteins are budded off into cytoplasm and move toward golgi apparatus for further modification .

Golgi apparatus: synthesisezed proteins are not functional . In golgi apperatus they are further modefied and processed and stored for a short time and then released toward destination.

Note that Facilitated diffusion , Active transport and Osmosis are three different ways of transporting substances across the cell surface membrane.

Facilitated diffusion is the movement of a substance from high to low concentration , similar to simple diffusion , but due to the complexity of the cell surface membrane , polar molecules and ions cannot just pass like that , so they pass through specific carrier and channel proteins in the cell surface membrane and so we call it facilitated diffusion.

For Active transport , it's the movement from low to high concentraion using energy from ATP

For Osmosis , it's totally different . You only name osmosis when its all about water . Its the net movement of water from high water potential to low water potential through partially permeable membrane .
If you're doing AS , you'll be familiar with Endosmosis and Exosmosis.
