Answer:

Its called smothering the fire

Explanation:

A fire needs three things to burn always: fuel, oxygen, and a heat source. Eventually the heat source will not be an issue, but the oxygen and fuel is. If the fire is small enough throwing a blanket can quite smother it. What happens is it cuts off the oxygen supply the fire needs long enough for it to die out.

The chemical bonds in fuel are changed when the fuel is burned to move a car. What type of energy conversion is taking place in
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

Chemical energy to heat energy

Explanation:

The type of energy conversion when fuel is burnt to move a car is from chemical energy to heat energy.

One of the fundamental laws in chemistry postulates that "energy is neither created nor destroyed but transformed from one form to another".

This law suggests that energy can be transformed from one form to another.

  • In an automobile, the fuel is chemical compound with chains of hydrocarbons.
  • When these bonds are broken during combustion in the engine, the chemical energy, a form of potential energy, is converted to heat energy, a form of kinetic energy.
  • The heat energy is used to drive pistons and cause the mechanics of a car to begin to move.

False

The cold front shoves the warmer air ahead of it upward, and as it cools the air discharges its moisture. The upheaval of warm air and the development of cumulonimbus clouds signals thunderstorms with heavy rains, and some strong cells capable of producing heavy downpours.
