Teenagers body need most energy thus they should consume more calories. Boys are required to consume 2200 to 3200 daily calories where as teen girls should consume 1800 to 2400 daily calories. Teens require vitamins and minerals. Iron and calcium are very vital to ensure strong bones. Calcium maintains muscles and healthy heart beat. Iron ensures oxygen is delivered in through the blood to facilitate energy releasing into the body.
