Answer:

3.4

Explanation:

The pH scale is used to express the acidity or basicity of a solution.

  • If the pH < 7, the solution is acid.
  • If the pH = 7, the solution is neutral.
  • If the pH > 7, the solution is basic.

Given the hydronium ion concentration [H₃O⁺] = 3.8 × 10⁻⁴ M, we can calculate the pH using the following expression.

pH = -log [H₃O⁺]

pH = -log 3.8 × 10⁻⁴

pH = 3.4

This solution is acid.

Explain why there was a reaction between zinc metal and a salt solution of copper sulphate please help me
natali 33 [55]

Answer:

When zinc is added to copper sulphate (CUSO4) solution due to more reactivity of zinc, cooper is replaced by the zinc and forms zinc sulphate. During the process, the colour of the solution changes from blue to colourless.

Can any one please help me to answers this question i don't get it. thank in advance.
alex41 [277]
First, lets balance the reaction equation:
4Fe + 3O₂ → 2Fe₂O₃
It is visible form the equation that 4 moles of Fe require 3 moles of O₂
Molar ratio Fe/O₂ = 4/3 = 1.33
Molar ratio O₂/Fe = 3/4 = 0.75
Now, we check the molar ratios present:
Fe/O₂ = 6.8/8.9 = 0.76
O₂/Fe = 1.31

Thus, Iron is the limiting reactant because its ratio is not being fulfilled while the ratio of O₂ is surpassed.

Which conclusion could be made from Ernest Rutherford’s gold foil experiment?
Tamiku [17]
The nucleus while large has a small ratio of mass when dealing with atoms, they are very spread out and are mostly solid with a blocky shape.
