That's because, even though those colors exist, you've probably never seen them. Red-green and yellow-blue are the so-called "forbidden colors." Answer:

Red-green and yellow-blue are the so-called "forbidden colors." Composed of pairs of hues whose light frequencies automatically cancel each other out in the human eye, they're supposed to be impossible to see simultaneously. By some estimates, they can see about 100 million different colors or about 99 million more than we can! This is due largely to the fact that many tetrachromats have a fourth cone sensitive to the ultraviolet part of the spectrum, which is invisible to the human eye. Blue is the hardest color to see as more light energy is required for a full response from blue-violet cones.

The mass of ice is the same as water because during a physical change, like a state change, mass is conserved. When the ice melts, all that changes is the physical state.

A chemist dissolves 484 .mg of pure perchloric acid in enough water to make up 240.mL of solution. Calculate the pH of the solut
sdas [7]

Answer:

1.70

Explanation:

The molar mass of perchloric acid is 100.46 g/mol. The moles corresponding to 484 mg (0.484 g) are:

0.484 g × (1 mol/100.46 g) = 4.82 × 10⁻³ mol

4.82 × 10⁻³ moles are dissolved in 240 mL (0.240 L) of solution. The molar concentration of perchloric acid is:

4.82 × 10⁻³ mol/0.240 L = 0.0201 M

Perchloric acid is a strong monoprotic acid, that is, it dissociates completely, so [H⁺] = 0.0201 M.

The pH is:

pH = -log [H⁺] = -log 0.0201 = 1.70

Changes in States of Matter
puteri [66]

Answer:

Melting

Explanation:

From solid to liquid, the change of state happening is the melting process. The kinetic energy of the particles that makes up the solid is increased and it allows the liquid to flow.

  • A solid is a fixed mass with static molecules.
  • When thermal energy is added, the kinetic energy increases.
  • The kinetic energy of the particles increases and they vibrate about their fixed point in solids.
  • This eventually breaks the structure and liquid which begins to flow forms.

This is a melting process.
