Number of robberies last year was = 332
Percentage of reduction in the subsequent year = 14%
Therefore,to know the decline amount, we find 14% of 332
= 14/100 x 332
= 46.48
Now to find out the number of robberies cases recorded this year, it will be
= 332 - 46.48
= 285.52

In ΔQRS, r = 1.5 inches, ∠S=23° and ∠Q=22°. Find the length of s, to the nearest 10th of an inch.
wel

Answer:

0.8 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

< R = 180-23-22 = 135°

the length of s = 1.5 × sin 23° / sin 135°

= 1.5 × 0.391 / 0.707 = 0.5865/0.707

= 0.8 inches

Find the area.???????
Fed [463]

well, we can check the units right off the grid.

so, below the x-axis, we have a rectangle, is a 10x3, so it has an area of 10*3.

above the x-axis we have a trapezoid, it has to parallel sides or bases, top is 6 units, bottom base is 10 units, and it has an altitude of 2.

we can just get the area of both, sum them up, and that's the area of the figure.

\bf \textit{area of a trapezoid}\\\\&#10;A=\cfrac{h(a+b)}{2}~~&#10;\begin{cases}&#10;a,b=\stackrel{bases}{parallel~sides}\\&#10;h=height&#10;\end{cases}\\\\&#10;-------------------------------\\\\&#10;\stackrel{rectangle}{(10\cdot 3)}~~+~~\stackrel{trapezoid}{\cfrac{h(a+b)}{2}}\implies \stackrel{rectangle}{(10\cdot 3)}~~+~~\stackrel{trapezoid}{\cfrac{2(6+10)}{2}}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;30+16\implies 46

Point K is on line segment \overline{JL} JL . Given JK=2x-2,JK=2x−2, KL=x-9,KL=x−9, and JL=2x+8,JL=2x+8, determine the numerical
Dafna11 [192]

Answer:

KL = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

Point K is on line segment \overline{JL} JL . Given

JK=2x−2

JL=2x+8

KL=x-9

JL = JK + KL

Hence:

2x + 8 = 2x - 2 + x - 9

2x + 8 = 2x + x - 2 -9

2x + 8 = 3x - 11

Collect like terms

3x - 2x = 8 + 11

x = 19

We are to find the numerical length of KL

KL = x - 9

KL = 19 - 9

KL = 10

Find an equation for the line with the given properties. Express the equation in slope-intercept form.
EleoNora [17]

Answer:

y = 3x - 19

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope-Intercept Form: y = mx + b

Step 1: Define variables

Slope <em>m</em> = 3

Random point (5, -4)

Step 2: Plug in known variables

y = 3x + b

Step 3: Find <em>b</em>

-4 = 3(5) + b

-4 = 15 + b

b = -19

Step 4: Write linear equation

y = 3x - 19
