Casey was having the disorder usually known as AUD. </span>Problem drinking that becomes severe is given the medical diagnosis of “alcohol use disorder” or AUD.  AUD is a chronic relapsing brain disease characterized by compulsive alcohol use, loss of control over alcohol intake, and a negative emotional state when not using. <span>To be diagnosed with AUD, individuals must meet certain criteria outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). Ideally, the role of the government is not to babysit the individuals so they can have a decent living without actually making an effort. But, the government need to play a role to ensure that the competition among the citizens happen as fairly as possible, and protect the citizens from any form of internal and external threats.
