Ostrovityanka [42]

c. His history of anxious depression

Explanation:

Medical comorbidities like anxiety and depression pre and postoperatively will lead to suboptimal or poor functional outcomes after total knee arthroplasty.

Anxiety can increase the blood pressure which can lead to many postoperative complications after a TKA which in turn can result in poor outcomes from the surgery resulting in chronic pain.

A depressed patient will have a poor motivation to perform rehabilitative therapies in the postoperative period after TKA which are very vital for successful functional outcome of the operated knee. This also will lead to chronic persistent post-surgical knee pain.

Depression leads to dissatisfaction in the result after TKA which will make them feel pain.

Many studies have proved that anxiety and depressing will only lead to chronic pain syndrome among the elderly.

When exercising, which hormone level decreases in females often causing a better mood?
skad [1K]

Answer

Cortisol

Explanation:

Cortisol or stress hormone is a steroid hormone produced in the adrenal gland( Cortex) .A spike in the levels of this hormone suppresses Serotonin levels in the blood. Serotonin is a neuro- transmitter in the brain for mood regulation and balance of memory., good sleep sexual function.

A spike in the levels in the cortisol level in the blood brings a corresponding decrease in the levels of Serotonin, which therefore leads to mood swings depression and insomnia, anxiety by reducing the receptors for serotonin, and therefore disrupting Endorphins levels in the brain.

Exercises decreases the levels of cortisol in the blood, and boost the levels of serotonin therefore boosting the amount of serotonin in the blood ,thus promoting good mood, reduce depression etc

Parenting goals generally comprise three categories and these includes the survival goal, the economic goal and the cultural goals. This is according to Anthropologist Robert LeVine. Survival goal ensures that their children survive, by providing for their health and safety. Economic goal ensures that their children acquire the skills and other resources needed to be economically productive adults. And, cultural goal ensures that their children acquire the basic cultural values of the group. Hope this answer helps.
