भन्ने गरिन्- स्वास्थ्य नै सबै भन्दा ठूलो धन हो, मानिस स्वस्थ छ भने त्यो नै सबै भन्दा ठुलो धन हो । मानिससँग जति नै पैसा वा सम्पति किन नहोस् उसको स्वास्थ्य ठिक छैन भने त्यसको कुनै मतलव हुँदैन । मानिस धेरै अभावमा पनि सुखी रहन सक्छा तर उ अस्वस्थ छ तर धनवान छ भने भने पक्कै पनि उ सुखी रहन सक्दैन । हिन्दु शास्त्रअनुसार स्वास्थ्यलाई धन भन्दा पनि बढी महत्व दिने गरिन्छ, किनकि खराब स्वास्थ्यले तपाइँको आर्थिक अवस्था नै बिगार्न सक्छ ।

त्यसैले राम्रो स्वास्थ्यको लागि सबै भन्दा जरुरी हुन्छ नियमित र सुनियोजित जीवनशैली । जसको दिनचर्या नियमित हुँदैन ऊ समय भन्दा पहिले नै बुढो देखिन्छ । यसैले शास्त्रमा केहि कुरा भनिएको छ जसको ध्यान राखेर मानिसले आफ्नो उमेरभर जवान बनिरहन सक्छ । यी कुराले मानिसहरु कयौं रोगबाट पनि बाच्न सक्छन् । गरुड़ पुराणको आचारखण्डमा लेखिएको छ कि ...

सरल शब्दमा भन्नु पर्दा माथिको अर्थ यो छ कि दिनचर्यामा लापरवाही गर्नाले तपाइँ गंभीर रोगको शिकार बनि छिट्टै वृद्धावस्थामा धकेलिनु हुन्छ । गरुड़ पुराणको यो जीवन उपयोगी सूत्र अनुसार तलको ६ काममा सधा सावधानी अपनाउन सके तपाइँ आफ्नो स्वास्थ्यलाई लाभ दिएर आफ्नो आयुसम्म जिउन सक्नुहुन्छ अनि लामो समय सम्म जवान बन्न सक्नुहुन्छ -

१. धेरै पानी पिउने गर्नुहोस ।

२. पौष्टिक भोजन गर्नुहोस् ।

३. यौन आनन्द तथा वीर्य स्खलन गर्नुहोस् ।

४. मल-मूलको वेग रोक्नुहोस् ।

५. दिनमा सुत्ने काम नगर्नुहोस् ।

६. रातमा जागा रहने काम नगर्नुहोस् ।

It really depends on you and your preferences. If you're okay with getting fit in a longer time frame and if by get fit you mean lose weight, then I would suggest do some cardio exercises each day, ideally for an hour or so (running, walking, exercise machines like elliptical or treadmill). Also, make sure to have a balanced diet. Try to limit bad carbs (bread, pasta, etc. ) when possible and eat lots of protein and vegetables. But it is okay to not follow your diet all the time; you can have some cheat days.
