Answer:

220 km

Explanation:

3 hours at 40 km/hr

40 km = 1 hour

40 km times 3 = 120 km

2 hours at 50 km/hr

50 km = 1 hour

50 times 2 = 100 km

Total distance

120 km + 100 km = 220 km

A(n) ________ is a thick accumulation of sediments and small tectonic blocks formed of material scraped off subducting oceanic l
diamong [38]

C) accretionary-wedge complex.

Explanation:

The accretionary wedge complex is a thick accumulation of sediments and small tectonic blocks formed from materials scraped off subducting oceanic lithosphere at a convergent margin.

Space between the subducting plate and the less dense plate gets filled by sediments scraped off the subducting plate and this forms a wedge like sediment called the accretionary wedge.

 • The accretionary wedge is invariably made up of materials found on the ocean floor.
 • Under extreme conditions, some parts of wedge transforms into metamorphic rocks.
 • The wedge is made up of: pelagic sediments, ocean floor basalts e.t.c

What is the entropy of a closed system in which 28 distinguishable grains of sand are distributed among 1000 distinguishable equ
baherus [9]

Answer:

193.4 J/K

Explanation:

For a closed system, the entropy is given as the natural logarithm of microstates.

The number of particles ( grains of sand ) N = 28

The number of boxes ( compartments ) M = 1000

Entropy is the logarithm of number of microstates

S=ln \psi

But the number of microstates is given by

\psi=M^{N} hence S=ln M^{N}=\ln (1000^{28})= \boxed{193.4 J/K}

Constructive interference of two coherent waves will occur if the path difference is:___.
Olegator [25]

Constructive interference of two coherent waves will occur if the path difference is λ/2.

Constructive interference:

When two waves are in phase and their maxima add, a process known as constructive interference occurs where the combined amplitude of the two waves equals the sum of their individual amplitudes.

The resultant wave is created by adding the amplitudes of two waves that are in phase and traveling in the same direction. The waves in this instance are said to have experienced beneficial interference. The upward displacement of the medium is higher than the displacement of the two interfering pulses because upward displacement occurs when the waves experience constructive interference. When the phase difference between the waves is an even multiple of (180°), constructive interference happens.
