Answer:a. 24 kg m/s

b.  3/5s

Explanation:

a.impulse is the change in momentum so at first the momentum is zero because the ball was at rest and the final momentum is 1.2kg*20m/s=24 kg m/s

so the impulse would be (24-0) kg m/s=24 kg m/s

b. so the impulse equation is impulse is force *delts time

so 24 kg m/s=40N*t

t=24 kg m/s /40N=3/5 s

How many (whole number of) 91 kg people
Tcecarenko [31]

We are given that the maximum mass capacity is 1 metric ton or 1000 kg. Therefore the amount of people this can hold is simply the ratio of the maximum mass capacity over the mass of the person, that is:

people = 1000 kg / 91 kg

people = 10.98

So the elevator can safely occupy 10 people. We will not exceed to 11.

shepuryov [24]

<u>Answer</u>

0.00346 hL

<u>Explanation</u>

cL means Centilitre while hL means Hectolitre.

10,000 cL = 1 hL

∴ 34.6 cL = 34.6/10,000  hL

What is the energy per photon absorbed during the transition from n = 2 to n = 3 in the hydrogen atom?
adelina 88 [10]

Answer : The energy of one photon of hydrogen atom is, 3.03\times 10^{-19}J

Explanation :

First we have to calculate the wavelength of hydrogen atom.

Using Rydberg's Equation:

\frac{1}{\lambda}=R_H\left(\frac{1}{n_i^2}-\frac{1}{n_f^2} \right )

Where,

\lambda = Wavelength of radiation

R_H = Rydberg's Constant  = 10973731.6 m⁻¹

n_f = Higher energy level = 3

n_i= Lower energy level = 2

Putting the values, in above equation, we get:

\frac{1}{\lambda}=(10973731.6)\left(\frac{1}{2^2}-\frac{1}{3^2} \right )

\lambda=6.56\times 10^{-7}m

Now we have to calculate the energy.

E=\frac{hc}{\lambda}

where,

h = Planck's constant = 6.626\times 10^{-34}Js

c = speed of light = 3\times 10^8m/s

\lambda = wavelength = 6.56\times 10^{-7}m

Putting the values, in this formula, we get:

E=\frac{(6.626\times 10^{-34}Js)\times (3\times 10^8m/s)}{6.56\times 10^{-7}m}

E=3.03\times 10^{-19}J

Therefore, the energy of one photon of hydrogen atom is, 3.03\times 10^{-19}J

What can happen overnight to soil?
UkoKoshka [18]
(GABS) Overnight, all of the particles settled down to the bottom , and the larger particles were on the bottom and the smaller particles were on the top. Therefore, clay was on top, hummus was in the middle, and soil was on the bottom.
