Answer:

\sigma_x= 1.75\%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

n = 64

\mu = 78\%

\sigma = 14\%

Required

The sample standard deviation

This is calculated as:

\sigma_x= \frac{\sigma}{\sqrt n}

This gives:

\sigma_x= \frac{14\%}{\sqrt {64}}

\sigma_x= \frac{14\%}{8}

\sigma_x= 1.75\%

adoni [48]

Answer:

95% Confidence interval:  (111.02,112.98)

Step-by-step explanation:

Average = 112 seconds

Standard Deviation = 9 seconds

n = 324

Confidence interval:

\mu \pm z_{critical}\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

Putting the values, we get,

z_{critical}\text{ at}~\alpha_{0.05} = \pm 1.96

112 \pm 1.96(\frac{9}{\sqrt{324}} ) = 112 \pm 0.98 = (111.02,112.98)

Initially the number of rose bushes are 18 and number of holly bushes are 6.

<h3>What is linear equation?</h3>

It is defined as the relation between two variables, if we plot the graph of the linear equation we will get a straight line.

If in the linear equation, one variable is present, then the equation is known as the linear equation in one variable.

Let's suppose initially the number of rose bushes is x and number of holly bushes is y

x = 3y  …(1)

Then I moved seven of my rose bushes to my grandfather’s garden:

= (x - 7)

Planted 11 new holly bushes in my garden:

= (y + 11)

x - 7 = y + 11 - 6

x - y = 12 ...(2)

After solving equation (1) and (2):

x = 18

y = 6

Thus, initially the number of rose bushes are 18 and number of holly bushes are 6.

If a price is 60$ and it gets a 15% markup,what would the final price be?
Shkiper50 [21]
Simple,

to find the rate of selling price price based on cost....-rate of cost+rate of the markup..

In work..

S%=C%+M%

The cost is $60 and C is 100%, also you know M%=15%

S%=100%+15%=115%

Rate of the selling price=115%

Step 2: Find the selling price

S=S%*CS=115%*$60S=1.15*60=$69

The selling price at a 15% markup is $69.

Thus, your answer.
