Answer:

1    x = 24.2°

2    x = 57.9°

Step-by-step explanation:

You must memorize the definitions of the trig functions and then these problems are easy

1:   tan = opposite side/adjacent side

opp side to x is 9 and adjacent side is 20

So, tan x = 9/20

x = arctan (9/20) = 24.2°

2:   cos = adjacent side/hypotenuse

adjacent side = 17 and hypotenuse = 32

cos x = 17/32

x = arccos (17/32)

x = 57.9°

You do 3 and 4.  Hint:  Use the tan function in 3 and the sine function in 4

OK?   You can do it!!!!

Answer:

1. tan(x) = 9/20

arctan(9/20) ≈ 24.23°

2. cos(x) = 17/32

arccos(17/32) ≈ 57.91°

3. tan(x) = 13/18

arctan ≈ 35.84°

4. sin(x) = 21/28

arcsin(21/28) ≈ 48.59°

<h2>Writing an Equation of a Line in its Slope-Intercept Form</h2><h3>Answer:</h3>

y = 10x -1

<h3 /><h3>Explanation:</h3>

<em>Please refer to my answer from this question to know more about Slope-Intercept Forms: <u>brainly.com/question/24640665</u></em>

It tells us that the line has slope 10 so m = 10. It also tells us that the line has a y-intercept of -1 so b = -1.

We can then finally write the equation of a line y = 10x -1

In a plane, if one line has an undefined slope and another line has a slope of zero, what can you conclude
Digiron [165]

Answer:

You can conclude that the lines are perpendicular, and will cross at exactly one point.

Step-by-step explanation: If one line has a zero slope, and the other's slope is undefined, that means one line is exactly vertical, and the other is exactly horizontal. This means that they will cross at exactly one point, and are perpendicular.

Given f(x) = x2 - x3, find f(-10).
postnew [5]
Please, use the symbol "^" to denote exponentiation.

f(x) = x^2 - x^3.

f( -10) is found by substituting  -10 for x in the given equation (immediately above):

f( -10) = ( -10)^2 - ( -10)^3, or  -100 + 1000, which equals 900.
