Why would increased levels of greenhouse gases contribute to higher temperatures on earth
umka21 [38]
Greenhouse gases are the gases in the atmosphere that keep the air in the atmosphere. It traps the sun's sunlight. Since the heat is trapped in here, it would contribute to higher temperatures.

When a stone is dipped in a glass containing some water, the level of water rises but when a
sladkih [1.3K]

Explanation:

It's so because we know that stone is insoluble, ain't it, so it takes space in water & the water level rises.

But, when a spoon of sugar is added to water, it is soluble & hence mixes with water, so it doesn't rise.

PLEASE HELP WITH #1 AND #2 ASAP!! PLEASE
Grace [21]
1. Since the track is extended outwards from lane one, the other lanes will be a longer distance then lane one. So the runners in the lanes (2,3,4,5,6,7,8) will start ahead of the runner in lane one so they all run the same distance. 2. The displacement of runner 1 would be that since they are farther back then they will have to run top speed in order to catch up to the other runners, especially runner 8 since it seems like they are so far ahead. This isn’t necessarily the same for all the runners because runner 1 is the farthest back and is at a disadvantage since they are in the inner lane and not the outer lane. I reallyyyy hope this helped :)

Nikolay [14]
The substance that needs more energy to undergo an increase of 25°C will have a higher specific heat, because energy depends directly on specific heat.

Q = cm∆T
where c = specific heat of the substance,
m = mass
∆T = temperature difference
