Why do you think people work to develop new techniques for mining and refining gold?

Answer:

well the older techniques were working for them like panning was one of the ways, now we use machines and water to wash the mud and clay away(i saw them do it in the north, they were using a hose to defrost the ground to get to the gold, they even found some really old ice that was in the ground.)

white water gold rush is a really good example about the heights we go to to get gold.

Second ring out = Intensive farms and dairy farms

Third ring out = Forests for timber and firewood

Fourth ring out = Extensive field crops/ crop rotation

Fifth ring out = Ranching/ livestock
