Answer:

-1<-0.25

With -1>0.25 you have a negative(-1) and a positive(0.25) the negative will always be less than the positive proving the equation wrong

Moving onto -1<-0.25 this one is a little trickier because they both have a negative so this is where you look at the number line and see which number is closer to 0 and whichever number is is greater meaning this is the correct answer.

Which equations represent the line that is perpendicular to the line 5x − 2y = −6 and passes through the point (5, −4)? Select t
Pepsi [2]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Two lines are perpendicular if the first line has a slope of m and the second line has a slope of \frac{1}{-m}.

With this information, we first need to figure out what the slope of the line is that we're given, and then we can determine what the slope of the line we're trying to find is:

5x - 2y = -6

-2y = -5x - 6

y = \frac{5}{2}x + 3

We now know that m = \frac{5}{2} for the first line, which means that the slope of the second line is m = \frac{-2}{5}. With this, we have the following equation for our new line:

y = \frac{-2}{5}x + C

where C is the Y-intercept that we now need to determine with the coordinates given in the problem statement, (5, -4):

y = \frac{-2}{5}x + C

(-4) = \frac{-2}{5}(5) + C

-4 = -2 + C

C = -2

Finally, we can create our line:

y = \frac{-2}{5}x - 2

5y = -2x - 10

2x + 5y = -10

Find the common difference in the outputs to help find the missing outputs in the table
WINSTONCH [101]

Answer:

if you are trying to find the rest of A it would be adding by 1 because of the slope so: 5,6,7,8,9,10. The slope of B wouldbe .8 because it is increasing by .8 everytime so: 3.8,4.6,5.4,6.2,7.0

Step-by-step explanation:

B) 4.6-3.8= .8

5.4-4.6= .8

slope is .8

5.4+.8=6.2

6.2+ .8= 7.0

The length of a rectangle is 3 m longer then it’s width the area of the rectangle is 154 m^2 what is the width of the rectangle
Alenkasestr [34]
The width is 11.

You can get this by setting up an equation that says:

x (x - 3) = 154

Then distribute and use the quadratic equation to solve.
