Answer:

Mean = 1.82

Variance = 1.365

Step-by-step explanation:

We define X as the random variable that counts the number of the carp fishes that has been caught. Also we assume that all the fishes are equally likely to be caught. In that case we have that X as hypergeometric distribution.

The of the Hypergeometric Distribution and Its variance is given below.

Mean of the distribution = n*\frac{k}{N}

Variance = \frac{n*k*(N-k)(N-n)}{N^2(N-1)}

N= 110

k = 20

n = 10

Upon calculation we get

Mean = 10*\frac{20}{110}

          = 1.82

Variance = \frac{10*20*(110-20)(110-10)}{110*110*(110-1)} = 2*90*100/11*11*109 = 1.365

Therefore the mean is 1.82 and variance is 1.365

14. A
C=10+12h
I think one time fee is 10, the recurring fee is 12

15.B
c=2*12h=24h
initial value is going to be 0 because no one time fee, rate of change is 24

C=a*h+b(a is rate of change, and b is initial value)

Perform the addition or subtraction and simplify. (20 points)
pentagon [3]
You have to find the LCD or least common denominator.
In this case the LCD would be (x-6)(x+5).

Problem: x/ x-6 - 1/x+5

Step 1: multiply x-6 to the numerator and denominator of 1/x+5

1(x-6)/ (x+5)(x-6)

Step 2: multiply x+5 to the numerator and denominator of x/x-6
x(x+5)/ (x+5)(x-6)

After all that, this is how the problem should look now

x(x+5)/ (x-6)(x+5) - 1(x-6)/ (x-6)(x+5)

If you simplify this you get

x²+5x-x+6/ (x-6)(x+5)

If you subtract both 5x-x (like terms) you get

x²+4x+6/ (x-6)(x+5)
which is the answer
