The adrenal gland is known for its multi-functional role in the endocrine system. They are located on top of the kidneys in your body they produce hormones you can't live without like sex hormones and cortisol. Without those hormones in your body o the gland not producing them, it can cause a lot of problems. You might be familiar with adrenal gland disorder where the gland makes too much or too little of those hormones.
Because you haven’t ever really lived without them. It’s a shock to the brain and body that they are gone and you can’t necessarily believe that you won’t ever get to see them again.
