During these initial reactions, water is used and oxygen<span> is released. The energy from sunlight is converted into a small amount of </span>ATP<span> and an energy carrier called </span>NADPH<span>. Together with </span>carbon dioxide<span>, these are used to make </span>glucose<span> (</span>sugar<span>) through a process called the Calvin Cycle.</span>

Answer:

ATP, NADPH and oxygen are the products of light reaction.

Explanation:

Light reaction occurs in the presence of sunlight and is the first phase of photosynthesis reaction. Chlorophyll molecule absorbs the energy from the sunlight and later uses in the formation of ATP and NADPH.

The water is used up during the reaction. The light energy is used to obtain ATP, NADPH and oxygen. These products of light reaction are used further by plants during dark reaction of photosynthesis.

URGENT !! A substance has 55.80% carbon, 7.04% Hydrogen, and 37.16% Oxygen. What is it's empirical and molecular formula if it h
Ede4ka [16]
<h3><u>Answer;</u></h3>

Empirical formula = C₂H₃O

Molecular formula = C₁₄H₂₁O₇

<h3><u>Explanation</u>;</h3>

Empirical formula

Moles of;

Carbon = 55.8 /12 = 4.65 moles

Hydrogen = 7.04/ 1 = 7.04 moles

Oxygen  = 37.16/ 16 = 2.3225 moles

We then get the mole ratio;

4.65/2.3225 = 2.0

7.04/2.3225 = 3.0

2.3225/2.3225 = 1.0

Therefore;

The empirical formula = <u>C₂H₃O</u>

Molecular formula;

(C2H3O)n = 301.35 g

(12 ×2 + 3× 1 + 16×1)n = 301.35

43n = 301.35

  n = 7

Therefore;

Molecular formula = (C2H3O)7

                             <u> = C₁₄H₂₁O₇</u>

Consider the reaction: Mg(OH)₂ (s) ⇌ Mg²⁺ (aq) + 2 OH⁻ (aq)
balandron [24]

The value of Kc for the equilibrium is 0.150 mole² / litre ²

<u>Explanation:</u>

<u>Given:</u>

An equilibrium mixture in an 1.00 L vessel contains 5.30 moles of

Mg(OH )₂  0.800 moles of Mg²⁺ and 0.0010 moles OH₋

We have to find the value of Kc

  • Step 1: Find  the equilibrium Concentration.
  • Step 2: Substitute the values in the equation.
  • Step 3: Find the value of Kc.
  • I have attached the document for the detailed explanation

The value of Kc for the equilibrium is 0.150 mole² / litre ²

Answer: The density of the liquid is 1.10g/cm^3

Explanation:

Density is defined as the mass contained per unit volume.

Density=\frac{mass}{Volume}

Given : Mass of the unknown liquid  = 938 grams

Volume of the unknown liquid = 0.852L=852cm^3  (1L=1000cm^3

Putting in the values we get:

Density=\frac{938g}{852cm^3}

Density=1.10g/cm^3

Thus the density of the liquid is 1.10g/cm^3 and the liquid is dimethyl sulfoxide.
