Answer: The table below represents a linear function f(x) and the equation represents a function g(x): x f(x) −1 -12 0 -6 1 0 g(x) g(x) = 2x + 6 Part A: Write a sentence to compare the slope of the two functions and show the steps you used to determine the slope of f(x) and g(x).

PART B: y=mx +b is slope intercept form of linear equation where m=slope and b =y intercept

slope for line for function f(x) =-5-(-1) / -1-0 =-5+1/-1=-4/-1=4

y = 4x+b

3=4(1)+b

3=4+b

-1 =b

y=4x-1

f(x)=4x-1     slope = 4

g(x)=2x -7    slope = 2

b) y intercept for f(x) is -1

and g(x) is -7

so f(x) is having greater y intercept

You have 100 quarters in a jar. One of the quarters is double sided (heads). You pick out a random quarter and flip it 7 times,
zysi [14]

Answer:

Probability of having the double sided coin is 1 %

Probability of getting heads on the next flip is 50%

Step-by-step explanation:

Based on the information given to us in the question we have a total of 100 coins in the bag and only 1 is double heads. Therefore the probability of you picking the double sided coin is \frac{1}{100} or 1 % . This probability is not affected by the fact that the coin you chose got heads 7 times in 7 flips.

Since a coin has 2 sides and you do not know whether the coin you have is the double sided coin then you have to assume that it is a normal 2 sided coin. Therefore a normal 2 sided coin has a probability of \frac{1}{2} or 50% with every flip of getting heads.

Please help!!! I really don’t get this only I get where the 3 are but please help me for the 4/5 and -0.4!
Naily [24]

Answer:

-0.4 should be in between 0 and -0.5, however be as close to -0.5 as possible while not being ON -0.5.

3 4/5 should be in between 3 and 4, so you can split 4/5 into 8/10 which are equal to each other. Then you can pretend to split the 3 and 4 gap into 10 equal pieces. After you split the gap, count 8 parts to the left of 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

I hope you understand what I mean.

pshichka [43]

Answer:

Two-tailed test.

Step-by-step explanation:

There are two types of tests:

One-tailed tests and two-tailed tests.

When we only test if the mean is less or more than a value, we have a one-tailed test.

When we test if the mean is different from a value, we have a two-tailed test.

If you were to conduct a test to determine whether there is evidence that the proportion is different from 0.30, which test would you use?

Test if it is different, so a two-tailed test.
