Explain why an apple is healthy.

No fake answers please thanks
zavuch27 [327]
The phytonutrients in apples can help you regulate your blood sugar. Recent research has shown that apple polyphenols can help prevent spikes in blood sugar through a variety of mechanisms. Flavonoids like quercetin found in apples can inhibit enzymes like alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase. Since these enzymes are involved in the breakdown of complex carbohydrates into simple sugars, your blood sugar has fewer simple sugars to deal with when these enzymes are inhibited. In addition, the polyphenols in apple have been shown to lessen absorption of glucose from the digestive tract; to stimulate the beta cells of the pancreas to secrete insulin; and to increase uptake of glucose from the blood via stimulation of insulin receptors. All of these mechanisms triggered by apple polyphenols can make it easier for you to regulate your blood sugar.

How my body maintains homeostasis using insulin?
ad-work [718]
When we consume food, our blood sugar levels begin to rise, since the food we eat is broken down into a sugar called glucose, which can be turned into energy. However, glucose cannot be turned into energy until it enters the cells. Insulin is created and released by the pancreas and it allows cells to take in sugar (Glucose) from the blood. This slowly decreases your blood sugar levels back to normal. When your blood sugar levels are too low, your body might signal you to eat something (tummy rumbling etc.) and the process repeats again.

hopefully, this helps. :)

Which of the following would be the most effective way to say no?
Zarrin [17]
Hi there!

The most effective way to say no is probably saying "I don't think that's a good idea", since it expresses what you think in a kind way with reason, while not focusing so much on the "I will get in trouble" part.

Hope this helps!
