Answer and Explanation:

The computation is shown below:

a)  Liabilities to equity ratio is

= $200 ÷ ($500 - $200)

= 0.667

Times interest earned ratio is

= EBIT ÷ Interest expense

= $120 ÷ $28

= 4.285

Times burden covered is

= EBIT ÷  (Interest +Principal repayment ÷ ( 1 -tax rate))

= 120 ÷ (28+24 ÷ (1-0.4))

= 1.764

b)

Interest paying requirements

= ($128 - $20) ÷ 120

= 76.7%

Principal and interest requirements

= [$120 - ($28 + $24 ÷ (1-0.4))] ÷ 120

= 0.433 or 43.3%

Principal, Interest and Common dividend payments -

= [$120 - ($28 + (($24 + 0.3 × 20) ÷ (1 - 0.4))] ÷ 120

= 0.35 or 35%

On January 1, 2016, the Accounts Receivable balance was $28,100 and the balance in the Allowance for Doubtful Accounts was $3,20
g100num [7]

Answer:

Net Accounts receivable = $24900

so correct option is c) $24,900

Explanation:

given data

Accounts Receivable balance = $28,100

Doubtful Accounts = $3,200

uncollectible account = $940

to find out

net realizable value of accounts receivable immediately

solution

we get here first Accounts receivable that is

Accounts receivable = Accounts Receivable balance - uncollectible account    ...............1

Accounts receivable = $28,100 - $940

Accounts receivable = $27160

and

allowance will be here

allowance = Doubtful Accounts - uncollectible account  .................2

allowance = $3,200 - $940

allowance = $2260

so Net Accounts receivable is

Net Accounts receivable = $27160 - $2260

Net Accounts receivable = $24900

so correct option is c) $24,900

Alex_Xolod [135]

Answer:

Effective Annual Rate  = 8.1600%

Explanation:

The effective annual rate the interest rate that is adjusted for compounding over a given period of time. It is given by the formula:

r = (1+\frac{i}{n})^n -1\\where:\\r = effective\ annual\ rate\\i = nominal\ interest\ rate\ = 8.00\% = 0.08 \\n = number\ of\ compounding\ periods\ per\ year\ = 2\ (semi-annually)

r = (1+\frac{0.08}{2})^2 -1\\r = (1\ +\ 0.04)^2 - 1\\r = (1.04)^2 - 1\\r = 1.0816 - 1\\r = 0.0816\\r = 8.1600 \%

Costing formulas:

Patterson:

Absorption manufacturing cost

Markup = Higher markup rate

Selling price $1,000

Clay:

Total cost = Higher cost basis for marking up

Markup

Selling price $1,000
