Assume <em>R</em> is measured in meters (m) and <em>M</em> in kilograms (kg). Then

<em>R</em> ² / (<em>GM</em>) = [m]² / ([N•m²/kg²] [kg]) = m•kg / N = m•kg / (kg•m/s²) = s²

so <em>t</em> ² is indeed proportional to <em>R</em> ²/(<em>GM</em>).

Locate the polyatomic ion in the compound CaCO3 <br> Ca <br> 0 <br> CO3 <br> C
dimaraw [331]

CO₃

Explanation:

The polyatomic ion in the compound CaCO₃ is CO₃.

A polyatomic ion is an ion that is made up of more than one atom that has singular property.

They are usually called radicals.

    CaCO₃ ⇒  Ca²⁺  + CO₃²⁻

CO₃²⁻ is a polyatomic ion because it is made up of more than one atom.

The CO₃²⁻ is called a carbonate group.

It is made up of:

  • one atom of carbon
  • 3 atoms of oxygen
  • a net charge of 2-

An air-track glider undergoes a perfectly inelastic collision with an identical glider that is initially at rest. what fraction
DiKsa [7]
Refer to the diagram shown below.

The initial KE (kinetic energy) of the system is
KE₁ = (1/2)mu²

After an inelastic collision, the two masses stick together.
Conservation of momentum requires that
m*u = 2m*v
Therefore
v = u/2

The final KE is
KE₂ = (1/2)(2m)v²
       = m(u/2)²
       = (1/4)mu²
      = (1/2) KE₁

The loss in KE is
KE₁ - KE₂ = (1/2) KE₁.

Conservation of energy requires that the loss in KE be accounted for as thermal energy.

What wave phenomena best describes the reason for the dark and light bands that
pickupchik [31]

Answer:

Interference

Explanation:

Interference is the phenomenon in which two waves superimpose to form a wave with smaller, larger or same amplitude.

There are two types of interference namely, constructive interference and destructive interference.

Constructive interference occurs when the waves are in phase and destructive interference occurs when the waves are out of phase.

In a double slit experiment, the two slits acts as sources of light and thus the waves combine to produce interference patterns. When the waves are in phase, that is the angle between them is 0°, they form a constructive interference pattern which gives rise to a light band. When the waves are out of phase, that is the angle between them is 180°, they form a destructive interference pattern which gives rise to a dark band.

Note also that diffraction patterns are also observed for wide slits but can be neglected for smaller slits.
