When the temperature of a gas in a rigid container decreases, the particles of the gas move slower and experience fewer collisio
4vir4ik [10]
When the temperature of a gas within a rigid container decreases, the particles on average move more slowly and do not collide with one another or the container walls as often. It is the the ideal gas law that applies in this situation and states that a decrease in the temperature of a gas also results in a decrease in the pressure. Thus, automobile tyres which have a colder gas in the winter sometimes need additional air to provide suffiicient pressure.

How common is plasma?
Alex

Plasma is by far the most common form of matter. Plasma in the stars and in the tenuous space between them makes up over 99% of the visible universe and perhaps most of that which is not visible. On earth we live upon an island of "ordinary" matter.

Although naturally occurring plasma is rare on Earth (e.g. a lightning strike), there are many man-made examples. Plasma glows when it conducts electricity in neon signs and fluorescent bulbs.

When a solution of iron(III) nitrate is mixed with a solution of sodium hydroxide, a rust colored precipitate forms. This precip
astraxan [27]

Answer: c. iron (III) hydroxide

Explanation:

A double displacement reaction is one in which exchange of ions take place. The salts which are soluble in water are designated by symbol (aq) and those which are insoluble in water and remain in solid form are represented by (s) after their chemical formulas.

The balanced chemical equation for solution of iron(III) nitrate is mixed with a solution of sodium hydroxide is:

Fe(NO_3)_3(aq)+3NaOH(aq)\rightarrow Fe(OH)_3(s)+3Na(NO_3)(aq)

As iron(III) hydroxide is insoluble in water , it is formed as a solid which is called as precipitate.
