Homes may be heated by pumping hot water through radiators. What mass of water (in g) will provide the same amount of heat when
Nitella [24]

Answer:

a mass of water required is mw= 1273.26 gr = 1.27376 Kg

Explanation:

Assuming that the steam also gives out latent heat, the heat provided should be same for cooling the hot water than cooling the steam and condense it completely:

Q = mw * cw * ΔTw = ms * cs * ΔTw + ms * L

where m = mass , c= specific heat , ΔT=temperature change, L = latent heat of condensation

therefore

mw = ( ms * cs * ΔTw + ms * L )/ (cw * ΔTw )

replacing values

mw = [182g * 2.078 J/g°C*(118°C-100°C) + 118 g * 2260 J/g ] /[4.187 J/g°C * (90.7°C-39.4°C)] = 1273.26 gr = 1.27376 Kg

Quinn’s relatives relayed a story about putting on a headset and seeing a digital world that they could walk around in and explo
Kryger [21]

Answer:

I know it is C)Virtual reality

Explanation:

Look at the clues

story about putting on a headset ( virtual reality head set!)

seeing a digital world (A virtual reality world)

they could walk around in (Fake walking you are basically jogging in place)

explore in order to see what ancient Benin looked like (Looking at a real place only digitally)

as if they were really there ( they think they are actually there)

The only reason I know all of this is because I have done virtual reality multiple times and I LOVED it SUPER fun ( I was doing archery) :) Hope this helps!

Which branch of engineering studies the physical behavior of metallic elements?
olga55 [171]

Material engineering studies the physical behavior of metallic elements.

Answer: Option C

Explanation:

Material Engineering is the creation and learning about the materials at an atomic level. An engineers from this branch focus on material and model its characteristics using the computer.

Also, they combine the knowledge of solid-states, metallurgy, chemistry and ceramics to the application level. It also has a great role in building the future with the advancing study in nanotechnology, biotechnology, etc. Simply, these are meant to have vivid applications in future life.

Vector A extends from the origin to a point having polar coordinates (7, 70ᵒ ) and vector B extends from the origin to a point h
yaroslaw [1]

Answer:

13.95

Explanation:

Given :

Vector A polar coordinates = ( 7, 70° )

Vector B polar coordinates = ( 4, 130° )

To find A . B we will

A ( r , ∅ ) = ( 7, 70 )

A = rcos∅ + rsin∅

therefore ; A = 2.394i + 6.57j

B ( r , ∅ ) = ( 4, 130° )

B = rcos∅ + rsin∅

therefore ; B = -2.57i + 3.06j

Hence ; A .B

( 2.394 i + 6.57j ) . ( -2.57 + 3.06j ) = 13.95

You are the project manager assigned to construct a new 10-story office building. You are trying to estimate the costs for this
Semmy [17]

Answer:

Bottom-up Estimation

Explanation:

Bottom-up estimation is a type of project cost estimation that considers the cost of individual project activities and finally sums them up or finds the aggregates. The summation gives an idea of what the entire project will cost.

This is an effective way of estimating the cost of a project as it evaluates the costs on a wholistic basis. It also considers the tiniest details during the estimation process. The process moves from the simpler details to the more complicated details.
