Answer:

Now how did I find the translation rule ( x - 1, y + 4). Well basically, I did was

8 - 9 = -1

-4 - (-8) = 4

Now if you use the same translation rule for (9, -8), you will get :-

(x - 1, y + 4)

( 9 - 1, -8 + 4)

( 8, -4)

I get the same answer that is given in the problem.

Hope this helps, thank you !!

ratelena [41]

Answer:

Constraints:

0.50y+2.25x\geq 125\\x\geq 35\\y\geq 3x

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represents the number of cards and y represents the number of cupcakes.

Carrie decides to sell cupcakes for $0.50 each.

Total amount earned from selling cupcakes =0.50y

Juanita decides to sell homemade cards for $2.25 each.

Total amount earned from selling cards =2.25x

As Carrie and Juanita need at least $125 to cover their start up costs,

0.50y+2.25x\geq 125

Juanita plans to make at least 35 cards.

x\geq 35

Carrie plans to sell cupcakes no less than 3 times the number of cards Juanita makes.

y\geq 3x

Constraints:

0.50y+2.25x\geq 125\\x\geq 35\\y\geq 3x

kow [346]
Lonnie visited one of the machines and bought some coffees, of which three turned out to be white. That means Lonnie used STACO machine which pattern is giving 3 white every 1 black coffees.
<span>He went back to the same machine for the afternoon and take another 3 coffees. Since the machine created 3 white in the morning, it should make 1 black coffee in the first run. The 2nd and 3rd run would give white coffee.

So, Lonnie will have 2 white coffee.</span>
