Which compound (s) has(have) a molecular ion at 117 and a peak at 1720 cm-1 in its IR spectrum?
LenaWriter [7]

Answer:

Ethyl Acetate with a chemical configuration of : CH3CO2CH2CH3

Explanation:

Ethyl Acetate has a density of 902 kg/m³, molar mass of 88.11 g/mol and posses a boiling point of 77.1 °C.

It is to be understood that ethyl acetate is the ester of ethanol and it is mostly produced in mass production and most especially used in the production of domestic materials especially materials like glue, efostics and dissolving agent. This is a highly toxic and flammable substance. However colorless and possess a sweet smell, it can be highly poisonous when ingested.

Which pair of elements can be used to determine the age of a fossil that is over one billion years old?
lakkis [162]

Answer:

Explanation:

There are some radioactive nuclides can be used to measure time on an archeological scale. One is the best example of this is radiocarbon dating. This process is based on the ratio of caebon-14 to carbon-12 in the atmosphere which is relatively constant.

The half time of C-14 5730 years

Carbon-14 is a radioactive nucleus. It has a half-life of 5730 years.

All living tissues like plants and animal absorbed carbon-12 along with carbon-14 with same ratio of caebon-14 to carbon-12 in the atmosphere.

Carbon-14 dating is based on the ratio of carbon-14 to carbon-12 in the atmosphere which is relatively constant

If the vapor's volume were to be incorrectly recorded as 125ml, how will this error affect the calculated molar mass of the unkn
pishuonlain [190]
Since you didn't give the actual volume (or any of the experimental values) I can only tell you how to do it. Do the calculation using the real (determined) volume of the flask. Then, re-do the calculation with v = 125ml. Take the two values and calculate % error; m = measured vol; g = guessed vol.

[mW (m) - mW (g)]/mW (m) x 100%

(they want % error so, if it is negative, just get rid of the sign)

Why is a saturated NaCl solution an example of an equilibrium system? A. Because of the reversible nature of solidifying and mel
nataly862011 [7]

Answer:

Option B, Because of the reversible nature of crystallizing and dissolving

Explanation:

Solution containing the maximum amount of solute that can be dissolved in the given solvent at the particular temperature is called saturated solution.

Reversible reaction is the reaction which can go in reverse and forward direction both on varying reaction condition.

In the saturated NaCl solution, on lowering temperature, The the dissolved NaCl molecules may crystallize. Likewise on increasing temperature, the crystallized crystals may dissolved. As the reaction moves in both the direction, therefore its considered to be equilibrium system.

Therefore, amog given, option B is correct.

Because of the reversible nature of crystallizing and dissolving
