A=pi(r)^2

We have the diameter. To get the radius divide it by 2.

The radius now is equal = 13.
Pi=3.14

Distribute it to the equation... A=3.14(13)^2

The area is equal = 530.66

Solve the following absolute value equation for the unknown. Show all of your work for full credit. |-3h – 6| ≤ 3
ss7ja [257]

Answer:

-3 \le h \le 1.

Step-by-step explanation:

Apply the property of absolute values: if a \ge 0, then |x| \le a \iff -a \le x \le a. By this property, |- 3\, h - 6 | \le 3 is equivalent to -3 \le -3\, h - 6\le 3. That's the same as saying that -3\, h - 6 \ge -3 and -3\, h - 6 \le 3.

Add 6 to both sides of both inequalities:

-3\, h \ge 3 and -3\, h \le 9.

Divide both sides of both inequalities by (-3). Note that because -3 < 0, dividing both sides of an equality by this number will flip the direction of the inequality sign.

  • -3\, h \ge 3 would become h \le -1.
  • -3\, h \le 9 would become h \ge -3.

Both inequalities are supposed to be true. Combining the two inequalities to obtain:

-3 \le h \le 1.

The volume of a cone is 50 pi cubic feet. Its height is 6 feet. In feet, what is the radius of the cone? Round the answer to the
prohojiy [21]

Answer:

The radius of the cone is 5\ ft

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The volume of a cone is equal to

V=\frac{1}{3}\pi r^{2}h

In this problem we have

V=50\pi\ ft^{3}

h=6\ ft

substitute in the formula and solve for r

50\pi=\frac{1}{3}\pi r^{2}(6)

Simplify

25=r^{2}

square root both sides

r=5\ ft

Brent divided three and one half by seven. What number did he get?
Katen [24]
I believe the answer is 1/2

I changed 3 1/2 to an improper fraction (7/2), then I had to find the reciprocal of 7, which is 1/7.  I then multiplied 7/2 by 1/7 which gave me 7/14, which I reduced to 1/2.

Hope this answers your question.
