To better anticipate the symptoms that patients will present with upon arrival, the hospital personnel has to be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the local rescue teams. The hospital staff should start triaging the patient as soon as a call from the field comes in based on their age, mechanism of injury, coagulation status, and other characteristics that can affect the care of the case.
