Describe the influence of culture on gender formation
Flauer [41]
Hi!

Culture has a huge impact on gender formation. Examples of this include career choice and employment. From an early age, girls might play 'Teacher' or 'House' (I used to play all the time!) while boys might play games and activities opposite of this, such as 'war' or some kind of 'fight'. Traditionally, women may become teachers, waitresses, secretaries, housewives, etc. These men, traditionally, may become construction workers, truck drivers, police officers, etc. Another example of how culture influences gender information is that women are traditionally considered to be "gentle" and "kind" and "emotional" while males are considered to be "tough" and "independent". These are just some examples of cutural influence.

How were Christians treated during th first few centuries of AD of the Roman Empire?
Anna35 [415]

Answer:

C. The Roman Empire persecuted Christians.

Explanation:

From the beginnings of Christianity, the Roman Empire was hostile to this new religion. Romans were mostly welcoming towards the various religions, but Christianity forbids worshipping of idols other than God, which went against the Roman idealization of the emperors.

Nero was the first emperor that started persecution. He even blamed the great firs of Rome on the Christians. They were punished for their beliefs, especially if they went against the imperial ideas.

Finally, after the split of the empire, the emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire, Constantine, signed the Edict of Milan in 313 AD. With this legal document, Christianity became a legal religion. In 380. Theodosius I proclaimed that Christianity is the state religion of the Roman Empire by the Edict of Thessalonica.

The 1950s post World War II era saw exceptional prosperity and growth in the United States.

United States had emerged after the war as the richest country in the world and there was huge demand for its products in European countries recovering from the war.

This gave a boost to local manufacturers and exports leading to high-paying jobs and a huge domestic retail market.
